Chapter 10

" Amber!! Amber get up!! NOW!!" It was Zach's voice. Instantly I sat up and got out of bed.

" What! What is It?" I asked. He pulled me towards the door.

" C'mon, we are leaving, now. The vampires came and they are attacking the village." He said.Without hesitation we bloted out the door. I sprang into the air and a shudder went through my body and I landed on all fours and really pushed my speed. Zach had done the same.

" Wait! Why are we just leaving them there?! We have to go back!" I shouted , but the look I got from Zach held me back, and kept me going forward.

"Because I wanted to save your life. I love you and I couldnt live with myself if you died. I am going to regret not fighting to save the pack I have known all my life, but It was worth it, for you."

I was speechless. So I kept my mouth shut and followed Zach.We had been running for a while now and the exauhstion caught up to me. I was extremely tired, and Zach seemed to sense it.

" Come on baby just a few more miles.Then you can fall asleep in my arms, I wont stop until I know your safe." He said. I nodded and kept running. Suddenly we bursted from the strand of trees and ended up in the middle of a clearing. I screamed and Zach yelped and we took our places and stood beside eachother.The three figures moved in on us, surrounding us. One of them spoke to one of the others,

" Call off the attack. We successfuly caught two of the mutts."

We ran into an ambush , of three. vampires.
