For as long as he could think of, the only thing Yamato thought of was if he passed the recommendation entrance exam, even being unable to sleep. At dinner one night, he was yet again thinking about it, until a voice started echoing his name.
"Yamato? Yamato? Yamato!"
He woke up from what felt like being in a comatose, Kohimura was calling out his name.
"Yamato? Is everything alright?" Kohimura questions worryingly. "I'm sorry, I can't get my mind off the exam. I'm getting a little worried about my results, what if I don't make it?" Self-doubting himself in his cold voice.
"Yamato, I know how much this means to you. But you must be patient with things like this, if you get in, then that is a great accomplishment. If you don't, it's okay. There are better opportunities." Kohimura lectures. "I guess so." Yamato responds in disbelief.
"The same thing goes for you girls." Kohimura calls out. "Okay dad." Hidemi and Inuya respond sweetly. Suki and Inuya sense something from outside, the mail had arrived. "Looks like the mail is here! I'll go get it." Suki says, getting up from her chair.
"Yamato, would you help clean the table for us? I've got so much work to do." Kohimura asks politely, yet still tired from his work. "Of course." respectfully responding, Yamato began cleaning. "We can help too!" Inuya exclaims. "Sure, knock yourselves out." Yamato responds. Picking up every dish, storing the leftovers, and wiping down the table. Suki comes back inside with a bunch of envelopes, reading one after another until one was for Yamato.
"Yamato, I believe this is for you." Suki hands him the acceptance letter of U.A. "It's here?" he asks, he was given the acceptance letter. "I'll be back." he dashes into his room to read it.
"Aw man, we wanted to read it with him." Inuya pouts. "It's okay Inu, he'll surprise us once he finds out." Kohimura consoles. Back with Yamato, all the tension rose, if he had a human heart, it would've been pounding in his chest. He was soon, about to face the fate decided for him. He slowly opens the envelope, inside was the recording of a holographic message. The recording plays, the tall, muscular, blonde and number 1 hero, All Might was giving the message.
"All Might?!" Yamato was eagerly surprised. As All Might continued about Yamato's effort in the exam, he finished the message by telling him that Yamato got accepted into U.A. As if so much weight was lifted off, he felt such joy in him, something he hasn't felt in years. His whole family waited outside his room til he opened the door. "Well, did you?" Kohimura asks thrillingly.
All Yamato did was smile, it was very clear. Kohimura's heart raced, Suki cries with joy, Hidemi and Inuya cheer. "My son got into U.A.!" Kohimura cheers. "We're so proud of you Yamato!" Suki cries. All joining in one group hug. As time passed by, late April, the first day of school. Getting their shoes on, Yamato and his sisters were getting ready.
"I hope you all have a good first day." Suki says, as the kids get in the limo to their schools. Yamato was the first to get dropped off. "You girls have a good day." Yamato tells his sisters. "You too Yamato-kun!" Hidemi exclaims. "Yeah, bye!" Inuya says as the limo drives off. Yamato stands in front of the gate of the greatest school once again. He makes his way through the gates and into the school. Making his way to Class 1-A, thinking about who else would be there with him.
He spots Class 1-A ahead, dumbfounded at the sight of the humongous door. "Damn, do giants go here or something?" Yamato thought to himself. He opens the door and enters the class, it was mostly what he expected. Mostly normal looking students talking to each other, socializing. When he walked in, everyone stared at him, with silence. Seeing a cyborg who looked cold made some students feel uneasy.
He chose a desk near the windows and sits, waiting for class to start. A familiar voice was heard, Yamato knew this voice. When he looked to his right, he sees the same girl with the black ponytail, Momo Yaoyorozu.
"Oh hi! I remember you! We did the entrance exam together." she spoke with a pep in her voice. Yamato was a bit annoyed by how bubbly she sounds. He doesn't respond, he wanted to be left alone.
"Hm, you don't talk much, don't you?" she asks, looking at his facial expression. She saw his annoyance of her presence. "Well, I apologize for bothering you. I'll leave you be." she says dismally. Yamato felt better that he was left alone, but also felt bad for her. She just wanted to socialize, but that was the opposite of what he does. A few minutes pass, the other students get situated.
Some of the other students looked a bit odd, such as a tall guy with tentacles, a literal bird, a frog girl, a pink girl, a boy with grapes on his head, an invisible girl, even the pastel blonde boy from the recommendation entrance exam.
The blonde looked at Yamato with absolute terror in his eyes. Yamato simply took a small glance at the blonde, immediately recognizing him. The blonde looks away, breathing heavily. Yamato, then, hears two people arguing; an explosive ash-blonde and a dark-haired guy who acts like a robot. Pretty offensive in Yamato's case, he scoffed internally.
A green-haired boy comes into the class, he blushes at the sight of the class. Yamato thought to himself, "Who would let a kid like him into this hero course? I'm probably underestimating him, but who am I to judge."
Finally a small brunette comes into the class and introduced herself as Ochako Uraraka. The green-haired boy's blushing intensifies. While they were talking about who knows what, some random man in a sleeping bag appears behind them.
"If you're just here to make friends then I suggest you leave." he speaks with a tired, gravely, bored tone.
Everyone finally got to their seats, as the man stood up from his sleeping bag. He pulls out a neatly folded and clean gym uniform. "Everyone get in your gym uniform and meet me outside, in the courtyard." he said. "Hm, what will we be doing outside?" Yamato thought to himself. To him, this first day really isn't what he was expecting.
