Curled up in the corner of the Minecraft jail cell, Purple could be seen shaking as tears fell harshly. They dont understand how they messed up so badly. Maybe it wasnt the best of them to leave their new friends to fall into the void, but they would have been okay. Its just a game? Why do they all hate me? Purple thought to themselves.
From outside the screen, a young animator just got home. They were exhausted and just wanted to spend time with Purple. Throwing their backpack onto the bed, they went over to the computer. Immediately they got concerned at the screen was full of Minecraft builds and villagers, but they couldn't find Purple.
Biting their lip, the animator quickly searched the many buildings for their stick figure. A small bit of purple caught their eye, and they found Purple in some building that looked a lot like a makeshift prison. It didnt take much effort to get Purple out and onto adobe animate. The only rough part was the villagers trying to put Purple back.
[Purple, what happened?] the animator typed, feeling extremely worried.
Purple looked up at the words and felt horrible. What if their animator leaves them? What if their animator hates them just like those other stick figures? Looking over at their animator, they reluctantly told the story from their point of view.
The animator listened to Purple with extreme patience. It frustrated them to no end that some random sticks out there overreacted with something so silly and simple. At the end, the animator felt very conflicted.
[Im sorry, you should not have been hurt like that. I think Minecraft will have to go. I dont want you to get hurt like this again.] the animator typed out, feeling quite protective of their little purple friend. They could see this wasnt the response their little friend wanted but probably felt too exhausted from all that happened to do much about it.
After deleting Minecraft from the computer, the young animator brought up Netflix and brought up the duos favorite show for the two to binge-watch. While Purple brought out a ton of blankets to make themselves comfortable, the animator put up Avatar, the Last Airbender.
As the two of them watched the show, the animator couldnt help but let their thoughts drift. They could remember the day they brought Purple to life. They were lonely and really wanted a friend. They didnt think their own abandonment issues would rub onto the newly drawn stick figure.
Taking out their cell, they sent a quick text to their parents telling them the situation and asking for a few sick days to stay home with Purple. They dont think either of them would handle a whole school day apart.
