After saying their final goodbyes to Blacksand, the group began moving again.
Froststar pads in the front of the group with Seastar, the two chatting and laughing every once in a while.
"They're all buddy buddy, huh?" A voice says beside Ceaderstripe.
Ceaderstripe glances to her side, where she suddenly notices a grey she-cat padding beside her.
"Who are you?" Ceaderstripe asks.
"I'm Dovesong," The she-cat mews, "I'm a questioner."
"Guys," Ceaderstripe stops in her tracks and looks to her friends, "Dovesong-?"
"Hey Dovesong," Hazelstripe mews.
"Hazelstripe!" Dovesong purrs quietly, "how are you?"
"Not bad," Hazelstripe glances around, "Froststar! We must be getting close!" She nods to the she-cat by her side.
Froststar turns and suddenly his face lights up as he bounds over and rubs his muzzle against the grey she-cat's.
"You're here!" He smiles.
Ceaderstripe and her friends all stare at the three cats; Hazelstripe, Froststar, and Dovesong.
"How-?" Hemlockheart asks.
Her kits sit at her paws looking between her and the pair of Frostclan cats. "what?" Rainkit tilts her head.
"Dovesong-" Hemlockheart tilts her head as well.
"I don't see anybody?" Rainkit blinks her eyes.
"Oh-" Hemlockheart shivers.
Ceaderstripe stares wide eyed at Dovesong as she talks with Hazelstripe and Froststar.
"What's the hold up?" Seastar asks, coming to sit beside her.
Ceaderstripe shakes her head and blinks, "Dovesong-"
"Who?" Seastar asks.
Ceaderstripe nods towards the grey she-cat.
"All I see is Hazelstripe and Froststar," Seastar tilts her head, "what are they talking to?"
"Dovesong-" Ceaderstripe continues to stare.
"I don't see anybody," Ravenpaw mews from where she stands at Seastars side.
Ceaderstripe takes a deep breath, "Froststar?"
Burntwhisker mutters something under his breath beside her.
"How long has she been here?" Ceaderstripe asks.
"Well I guess just a few moments?" Froststar shrugs, "she just appeared. We must be getting close to the territories."
Dovesong sits down and looks at Ravenpaw seriously, "Is it true that you are an Oceanclan cat?"
Froststar and Hazelstripe look to Ravenpaw expectantly.
"Why are you looking at me?" Ravenpaw asks.
"Well Dovesong asked you a question," Froststar states.
Ravenpaw looks up at Seastar, "what?"
Seastar shrugs, "who is Dovesong?"
Froststar and Hazelstripe exchange a glance, "the grey she-cat right in front of you?"
Seastar looks to Ceaderstripe in confusion.
"Its hard to explain," Ceaderstripe trails off, "just play along, I guess?"

A/N Seastar is totally turned off, if she had ever had feelings for Froststar LMAO

"What did- she- ask- me?" Ravenpaw looks to Hazelstripe.
"If you're in Oceanclan," Froststar answers.
"I am," Ravenpaw glances to Seastar.
"Could you-" Seastar pauses and looks at Froststar, "could you explain to me exactly what Dovesong is doing here?"
"She's a questioner," Pinestripe steps forward, "or so says Hazelstripe and Froststar."
Ceaderstripe nods, "she's- um- well, not exactly- real?"
Froststar gives her a quick glare.
"She's just as real as the rest of us," Froststar steps forward and rests his tail mid-air, or supposedly on the faint shape that was Dovesong.
Ceaderstripe glances to Burntwhisker, who stood behind her grumbling, "how about we all just keep moving?"
The image of Dovesong begins to fade out of view and Froststar shows a flash of sadness as his tail falls to the ground.
Ceaderstripe takes the lead with Seastar and Ravenpaw by her side and leave Froststar and Hazelstripe to themselves as the group moves around them.
What was that? Ceaderstripe wonders to herself.

A/N I'm aware that's all a bit odd so here's a general description of Dovesong:
She is an imaginary cat with the rank of 'questioner' which means she asks cats questions for whatever reason.
The idea of Dovesong originated in Frostclan when one warrior created themselves a sort of imaginary friend but she then escalated to what she is now. Someday when the Froststar super edition is republished you'll get more info on that.
