The world is in the throes of war. Steve Rogers wants to do his part and join America's armed forces, but the military rejects him because of his small stature whilst his friend; Scarlet Silverthorne-Blake-Barnes gets in whilst pretending to be a man. Finally, Steve gets his chance when he is accepted into an experimental program that turns him into a super soldier called Captain America. Scarlet is also given a dosage however it comes with consequences, she is transformed into an cybernetic organism known as Project Angel. Joining forces with childhood friend James 'Bucky' Barnes, World War One hero Anastasia 'Scarlet' Silverthorne-Blake-Barnes and new ally Peggy Carter, Captain America alongside Red Angel leads the fight against the Nazi-backed HYDRA organization.
