My Abyss

"Wake up, Eli." I hear a voice say. I open my eyes and I'm in the dark. I groan and look around. There's nothing but open space and darkness. Then I realize I'm floating.

I jump at the sudden scare. I look under myself and all round me. Feeling around to see if there's anything holding me up at all. And there's nothing there. I question this. Then I hear the voice again.

"Wake up Eli." It's says to me. I blink a couple of times before trying to move my body while in the air. After I get the hang of flying around I float towards where I heard the voice coming from. I hear it over and over agin calling out to me. Then I feel something shaking me. I look around thinking someone's there. But all I see is darkness.

"Come here Eli. Wake up." The voice says again, adding something else to the comment. I groan in frustration of doing this for awhile. Then I finally see something. I see a light. I float towards the light eager to see what it leads to. It's gets brighter and brighter with each inch that I float towards it. When I'm there I go straight into it without a second thought.

When I get into the light I see a lady standing there seeming to be waiting for someone. I'm guessing that someone is me. The lady turns around and smiles at me.

"Hello Eli nice to see you." She says. I look her up and down studying every inch of her. She has black hair and green eyes. She's wearing a long white dress. And speaks like one of those people from TV shows that has to play like an angelic character. Over all she's very pretty.

"I've been waiting for you." She tells me. I quickly sign to her what she means by that. She laughs a little be talks.

"I'm your inner conscience, Eli. I'm in your head. I'm here to try and talk you out of dying. I'm the part of your mind that doesn't want to die just yet." She explains. I look at her in wonder.

Then I think "Well damn. I never thought my conscience was this damn hot." I smirk to myself. Of course this woman thing being in my mind too hears that thought and says.

"Nice to know I'm hot, now let's cut to the chase." She says. I blush a little and she just smiles and waits for my approving nod. So I nod and she carries on with her explanation.

"Eli I know you're aware you tried to take your own life. Me being the side that doesn't want to die I'm gonna say this much so you have something to hold onto. Someone is waiting for you. You have to meet them. You cannot change this fate. But you also have something to carry out. You cannot die just yet." She finishes. I stare at her for a moment.

"What do you mean?" I quickly sign. She sighs and says.

"I cannot tell you anything else, Eli. But now it is time for you to wake up." She says before she vanishes.

I look around and hear a voice again.

"Time to go Eli. Good luck." Is all it says before I start to see white. And that's when everything in that dark abyss of mine turns white. I hearing beeping and I see white everywhere. And that's when I wake up.
