*Josh's POV*
I just finished packing everything up in my car and I was in my room just admiring it. Then my mom came into my room.
"Honey, you ready to go?" she askes
"Yeah Momma. I just need to get Jim in the car, which isn't a problem" I replied. I was not excited for my summer job, only good thing is that I can see hot chicks on the beach.
"Okay Josh, I'm gonna miss you." My momma hugged me, I hugged her back. She let go and walked downstairs, I followed her.
"Hey pa!" I greeted my dad, who was on the couch watching the Nascar race.
"Hey kiddo, hope you fun! You better not break all the girls hearts there." My dad joked, I quietly chuckled along with him
"Try not to." I said to him, I got Jim on his leash and went out to the car. Jim hopped into the passenger seat while I got into the drivers side.
Both my parents went out on our front porch waving away as I drove to the Cape.
I had the Grease soundtrack playing on the radio, so I sang along
"A fuel injection cut off and chrome plated rods, oh yeah I'll get the money, I'll kill to get the money. With a four-speed on the floor, they'll be waitin' at the door. You know that it ain't shit, we'll be gettin' lots of tit, greased lightnin'. Go go go, go go go go go go go go Go, greased lightnin', you're burnin' up the quarter mile..."
I sang along to greased lightnin', while Jim has his cute face out the window. This is like a fever dream. I love this. Maybe having a vacation won't be bad after all.
*Time skip brought to you by me wanting to watch happy days after listening to the grease soundtrack for a good hour*
I crossed over the bridge, once you reach the top of the bridge you can see hedges cut out saying,
"Welcome to Cape Cod!"
I drove to the rental house my mom payed for me, its a nice small place. Its in a small quiet neighborhood, and it looks very comfy. I get out of my car, and unpacking. Tomorrow I'll go grocery shopping and set up my stuff. I sat on the couch, Jim next to me. I go onto my phone and order some dinner. After dinner I went to the bedroom I'm gonna sleep in and went to bed. This summer is gonna be fun.
