*Josh's POV*
I woke up from the sound of Jim whining to be let out. I get up and let Jim outside, I feel my stomach growl. I need food fuck. I guess today I will get groceries. I let Jim inside, and I got dressed. I decided to just wear a plain blue hoodie with an alien in the corner of it and black ripped jeans. I put on a cap, backwards of course, grabbed my keys, said goodbye to Jim and out the door. I went to Stop&Shop because its the closest grocery store, and got things that I needed.
I was in the fruit area of Stop&Shop looking for some fruits Jim would enjoy, when I felt eyes staring at me. I look to see who is staring at me and its a boy who was scrawny with brunette hair, we locked eyes for a second until he broke it. I watched him quickly grab a container of watermelon and scurry off. He looks so familiar, but I don't know why. I noticed he came back and quickly grabbed the pineapple and walked off quickly again. He probably forgot to grab it. I continued shopping humming the tune of 'There are worse things I could do' it's my favorite song Rizzo sang in Grease. The lyrics then popped into my head,
'There are worse things I could do.
Than go with a boy or two,
Even though the neighborhood
Thinks I'm trashy and no good.
I suppose it could be true,
But there are worse things I could do'
I got my basic needs for food, and did self check out. I went home putting my groceries away, then decided to put on the Grease soundtrack again. The song 'Sandra Dee' started playing and I was unpacking, I got into character and sang along

Lousy with virginity,
Won't go to bed 'til I'm legally wed I can't,
I'm Sandra Dee'
Once I finished unpacking I decided to explore the island. I grabbed Jim's leash and put it on his collar and got my skateboard. I went outside and then started to explore the Cape.
I was on main street skating, looking at everyone walking around. This place is so popular, teenage romance is on the streets, families walking with their kids. I noticed a kid pointing at Jim and yelling
"Puppy!"
I chuckle to myself as Jim prances happily.
I decided to sit on a bench in front of the J.F.K museum. Jim was sitting next to me and I watched as a lady, probably late teens approach me.
"What's her name?" she askes
"Well, his name is Jim." I answered correcting the mistake she made also.
"Aww, may I pet him?" she asked, and I nodded to response. Watching Jim pant happily as she pet him.
"He's so cute. Oh! I'm sorry, what is your name?" she asked
"I'm Joshua" I said having a soft smile.
"I'm Ashley, you can also call me Halsey if you like." she got up and had her hand out, I took it and shook it.
"It's nice to meet you Halsey, you can call me Josh"
"Well Josh, why are you here? Out of all the places you could've gone." Halsey asked
"Well, my mom forced me here to get away from our house, and to get a job. I'm staying for the summer." I responded.
"Oh! Well, I'm gonna be doing life guard duty, maybe you can work with me?" she asked
"Sure! I just actually got the ability to work as one and have duty tomorrow." I responded
"Oh! Great! Here! Call me if you want. I gotta get going bye!" She softly smiled and jogged off. I put her number into my phone, I guess I should go to bed. I got life guard duty tomorrow. I get up and skate back home
Tomorrow is the start of a job. Yay.
