Heaven.

Clarke was sure she was in heaven when she felt the soft pressure of Lexa's lips on her own, activating every single cell in her body, all at once.

She did not consider herself to be too experienced in the matter of kissing; her first kiss had been with Nathan, a one-time thing, playing Spin the bottle, followed by a long period of no kissing whatsoever until she started dating Finn, while her latest (and also quite unfortunate) experience had been with Bellamy, who had tried to steal a kiss from her at the Christmas party; but she did not need a lot of experience to know that kissing Lexa was not like anything she had ever felt before.

It was gentle and simultaneously passionate, especially when Lexa's tongue sought permission to enter Clarke's mouth, leaving a wet trail on her bottom lip and making the blonde shiver at the touch.

She opened her mouth, welcoming Lexa's advances, which allowed her to taste a mixture of mint and something else that she could not quite define but could easily identify as being uniquely Lexa; a taste that she knew had immediately become her biggest addiction.

They had no idea how long they had been standing there, in the middle of the outdoor basketball court, until the need for air forced them to interrupt the kiss, still touching their foreheads together.

Lexa's hands were glued to Clarke's waist, while the latter's arms were wrapped around the brunette's shoulders, reluctant to let go of each other.

"Wow..." Lexa was the first to speak, opening her eyes to find Clarke's dilated pupils.

"Indeed..." the blonde couldn't help the smile that stretched her lips, her voice sounding a bit raspier than usual.

Before she could think of what to say next, Lexa felt her phone vibrate repeatedly in her pocket, suddenly remembering that she had asked Raven to check up on her in case the girl from Tumblr turned out to be a completely different person than what she had led Lexa to believe in their messaging.

"Shit, I forgot..." the brunette hurried, slightly pulling away from Clarke as she removed her hands from her waist to grab her phone out of the pocket.

Clarke had no choice but to lower her arms, already missing Lexa's warmth as the latter unlocked the screen to check her messages.

"It's Raven..." Lexa said, quickly reading the Latina's texts.

"Everything okay?" Clarke asked, noticing the frown on Lexa's forehead.

"Yes, um... Actually, I think I have to come clean about something..." the brunette said nervously, finally meeting Clarke's eyes.
