After countless calls and paperwork

I look up at the clock and notice it now reads eight pm I decide its probably time to get up and eat the human hasnt ate since around two

I head to the kitchen first to see what was prepared I see on the oven homemade soup and in the fridge I see a glass of Blood this will do

I head up to retrieve the pet

When I walk into the room I notice how dark it may seem to a human but I can see perfectly I zero in on the small figure laying inside turn cage curled up by the way her heart is beating I can tell she is asleep .

And for some reason I dont hang on the cage like I normally would I quietly walk over to the cage and gently tap on it and she slowly sits up head bowed feet tucked under her butt
I cant help hurt note how well behaved she is

Come on get up pet it's time to go eat . I say

She crawls out of the cage and waits

You may stand.

And she stands slowly with her head down
I grab her leash and we head down to the kitchen.

It's just me and the pet in the house I sent everyone home
After the day I've had I just wanted to be alone

I fix myself a bowl and I decide she will just eat out of mine since I will be feeding her again like lunch.

I go to the fridge and grab my glass

But I also grab her a glass of water

I sit down and she goes down by knees
When I look at her I cant help hurt feel a little uncomfortable with how painful it must be to be on the hard floor on your knees but I dont do anything .

I reach down and give her a bite of my food

Eat . I say

And she does so

And we continue this process
I offer her a sip of her water and she drinks it all

Stay .

I get up and go and feel her cup up with more water
I cant help but wonder how long it has been since she has last drank something .

As we finish our food and drinks in peace I get up and but the dishes in the sink .

Stand . I say

We begin to walk but instead of me taking her back to the room for some reason i go in the direction of my room

When we enter I lead her towards the floor by the bed

I am going to clean up you will stay put and you will not move a muscle under and circumstance  do you under me ?

She shakes her head yes

As I stand under the steaming hot water I cant help but wonder what the hell am I doing
