"Kaia and Violet! I don't want you two to be unhelpful when the moving van comes!" The lady shouts. The two girls were buzy staring at all the neiboring houses, clearly trying to avoid helping out.

"Hey Mom, can Violet and I walk around the block-"

"Not on my account. I don't need you two lost this early in Vermont."

Pastarago was simply a circle of houses. The only way you could get lost is by crossing the street. These kids seem to have more sence then their mother.

"C'mon Violet, let's walk around," the older girl who I take to be Kaia grabs Violet's hand and walks away.

She doesn't seem to be someone to stand against. I like people like that.

Violet takes her hand and they leave towards the Green's house. The Green's hate me, and will teach these guys to just the same. They could though. I wouldn't really mind.

I decide to follow the two, because they actually do leave. Their mom seems to have given up trying to talk her daughter out of things.

"Okay, here's what we'll do," commands Kaia to Violet, "We will go to every house ring the door bell, and introduce ourselves. K?"

"Oh yeah sure. It will be fun when we get to the house with the phycopathic murderer who will kill us for stepping on his lawn," teased Violet.

"Then that would be my fault we died. Here you ring the doorbell, and introduce yourself first."

"I could ring the doorbell, but can you be first to talk? You dragged us into this anyway."

"You heard what Mom told us. Meet people."

"Oh my gosh. I'll still meet them! It's not like I need to talk first!"

"You got to get into the habit of it!"

"Don't boss me Kaia!"

They got up to the Green's door. The Green's have a green house, and a very green lawn when it is summer. I suppose they lived up to their name.

Violet rang the doorbell. Little did they know the doorbell was broken. They waited in the cold forever.

"A car is there," Kaia thought out loud.

"Maybe we can write a message in the snow to come over?" Violet suggested already warming up her finger.

"Let's just knock."

Right when Kaia was going to the door opened almost making her trip.

"Oh hello, who are you two," asked the blond, fisty, lady I know as Fleur Green.

Author's Note: I am debating in my head right now if I should call her Fleur, Mrs. Green, or Fleur Green, for the rest of the book. I'll come up with something. In the mean while, please give me spelling corrections in the comments if you find any. I don't get offended by them!
