dick almost loses his name

Dick's pov

She hates me I can feel it. I need to explain to her what exactly happened that night and so does she. For lunch time I made sure that she had to sit next to me. I want to talk to her. The bell rang and I had no chance to talk to her at lunch. Barbara quickly got up and left the table.

"What was that about," Mikey asked.

"I have no idea," I lied.

I threw my trash away and went to business class. Mrs. Moore was talking about our field trip tomorrow. Barbara didn't talk to me all class.

"Okay so tomorrow class you do not need to wear your school uniform," mrs. Moore said.

" yes," Mikey said.

"And you can bring a lunch if you want but we will be dining in the cafeteria in the building," she said.

"So Barbara what you going to wear for the field trip," Sam asked Barbara.

Barbara didn't say a word. It was like she was staring into space.

"Yea so I'm just going to go naked and jump into the harbor after," Sam said.

"What," Barbara asked.

"Good your alive what is wrong with you today," she asked.

Barbara's pov.

"no I'm fine," I lied.

"Yea sure," Sam said.

The bell rang and we headed to our last class. Pe. I walked into the girls locker room and changed into my grey Pe shirt and my black Pe skirt. I walked out and found out we are playing basketball. YAS. It was boys against girls. I has on point and so was dick for the boys. Great. The girls were beating the boys as usual by one point. I had the ball and dick was trying to block me.

"Barbara listen to me, what are you even talking about us killing your family," he whispers to me.

"leave me alone you dick," I said.

I pushed into him causing him to fall to the ground and passed the ball.

"Barbara," coach Will says.

"I'm fine," dick says.

"Sidelines now," coach Will says.

I got off of the court and sit in the bleachers. Sam came and sat next to me.

"What the hell is wrong with you," she asked.

"Nothing," I said.

"Stop lying to me," she said.

"Me and dick are on the outs okay," I said.

"What to fuck did he you?"

With out me answering her, sam got up and marched towards dick. Sh grabbed his collar and pulled him outside.

Sam's POV

I threw dick outside and closed the gym doors behind me.

"What the fuck did I say about hurting my best friend," I yelled.

"What are you talking about," he asked.

"You hurt Barbara now I'm going to hurt you," I said.

I clinched my fist and grabbed dick's collar.

"Sam, stop," Mikey and Barbara yell.

"It's not what you think," dick said.

"It's my fault," Barbara said.

"what," i said.

"I lied it's my fault. I got pissed at him cause I thought he was lying to me," she said.

I put dick down and Barbara ran to him.

Dick's POV

"Thank you," I told Barbara.

"I didn't do it for you I did it for sam. I don't want her to get in trouble," I said.

I looked down and realized I she was telling the truth. She lifted my head and kissed my cheek.

"I'm so sorry I didn't believe you," she said.

Sam reached her hand out.

"Sorry I tried to kill you," Sam said.

The bell rang signaling school is over. She helped me up and she placed her hand in mine. When we reached the parking lot she let go of my hand and walked to the bike she took.

"Thank you," I told her.

"I didn't do it for you. If it wasn't sam who threatened you I wouldn't have stopped them," she told me.

She hopped on the bike and revved the engine. Before I could say something else she drove away. I walked over to my bike and drove home.

I walked into the manor and saw Barbara getting into sam's car. She didn't have any of her bags. She's leaving.

"Where is she going," i asked Bruce.

"Show sleeping over at Samantha's house. We can. It let her tell people our secret," he said.

"She isn't," I told him.

He gave me a look and said, "I hope your right."
