The date

*omg exams are finally over yasssss. I just hope I passed them*
Barbara's POV

~ magical skip to 4 hours before date~

"How about this dress," Sam said holding a light green dress.

"No I hate green you know that," I told her.

"Yes I know but it looks really go on you."

I took the dress and threw it in the closet. I went in to look around. I couldn't find anything. I walked over to my bed and just laid there.

"I'm not going. I have nothing to wear," I said.

"you are going," she said. "Here I was saving this for an emergency and look it's an emergency."

She threw a pink bag at me. I opened it up and saw the most gorgeous dress ever. It was the miloko black scalloped him skater dress I have been wanting forever. I grabbed sam and gave her a huge hug. I went to take a quick shower. When I was done I put on the dress and Sam lightly curled my hair. She also did my makeup. She applied a little foundation and a lot of blush. She out on red lipstick and she let me borrow her black high heels. She doesn't even wear heels. Her mom bought them for her because she wanted sam to feel like a princess.

"Thank you for letting me get ready at your place Sam," I told her.

"No problem," she replied.

Before I knew it, Dick was at the door. Sam went to open it and let him in. He was wearing a dark blue dress shirt and dress pants.

"Awe look at the love birds," Sam said.

I punched sam in the shoulder. Sam gave me a glare and she pushed me out of the house. I almost fell off the porch but dick caught me. Sam closed the door. Dick drove us to a very fancy restaurant. Once we got to our table, dick had to take some call. I told him it was cool but deep down I was upset.

DICK's POV

Barbara looks beautiful tonight. I hate that some stupid call interrupted out date. Does she even think it's a date.

"Hey what do you want," I asked who ever was calling me.

"Dick we have a situation," the guy on the other line said. I know that voice anywhere. It's Bruce.

"What is happening, Bruce," I asked.

"The penguin is robbing Gotham national bank. We have to go now," he said.

I hate to leave Barbara but I have to. People's lives are in danger. I really hope Barbara understands. I tell Bruce I will be there in five minutes. I leave out the back entrance and go to my car. I set the coordinates to Gotham national bank. I quickly change into my suit and step on the brakes. I arrive and eject myself out of the Car. Ha I arrived before Bruce. I hear screams coming from inside and run. I push open the doors and see Bruce fighting the penguin and his clown minions.

"Thanks for showing up," Bruce says with a snarky voice.

"Hey traffic was terrible," I reply. I run over and punch one of the minions if the face and free batz from his grasp. Batz goes after the penguin and I go after the clowns. A group of clowns stand in front of me.

"Okay enough funny business. Give up now and I won't hurt you as much," I said.

The clowns looked at each other than ran to attack me. I jumped over ones head and kicked two in the face. I grabbed my weapon and started sweeping the clowns off their feet.

Barbara's pov

He has been on the phone for about ten minutes. I get up and go check on him. I can't find him anywhere. I try and call him but he doesn't answer.

"I can't believe him," I cried.

"I know what a jerk," I heard someone say from behind me.

I turn around and see Sam.

"Where you spying on me," I asked crying.

"Well ya you're my best friend so I was spying," she said.

"How long," I asked.

"I saw the whole thing. I'm so sorry," she said hugging me. "Come on let's bring you home and we can hang out okay."

"Okay," I say. I get into sam's car and we head to her house. We raid the fridge and get ice cream, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, gummy bears, and every piece of candy she has. Sam grabbed her land line and orders pizza. We head up to her room and watch our favorite chic flick : the princess bride. When it was over, sam and I raided the kitchen again. I look at the clock on the wall and it said 10:00 pm. We went back up in her room and watched a lot of movie. We fell asleep watching The Fault in Our Stars. We got as far as their first kiss in Anne frank house. I woke up and saw that I had about 20 missed calls. Half from Wayne manor and half from my foster home. And none from dick. What a dick. I listened to my voice messages and the ones from Wayne manor were from Alfred and he sounded scared that I wasn't at the manor. Sam woke up and saw all of my messages.

"We should probably get you to the manor huh," she said.

We busted out laughing. We got dressed and hopped into sam's car. Once we got to the manor, Alfred gave he a huge hug.

"I was completely worried master Barbara," he said.

"I'm alright Alfred I was just over at sam's," I say pointing at sam.

Alfred walked over to sam and gave her a handshake.

"Sorry about that, she really needed a friend," Sam said.

"As long as she is safe," Bruce said walking down the stairs.

"Dude that's Bruce Wayne," Sam whispers in my ear.

"Yea I know," I whisper back.

I saw dick walk out of the kitchen and I looked away. I am really pissed at him and nothing will change it. Not even if he said he was a freakin superhero. Well maybe. But what are the odds.
