Chapter 22 ~ First Day Back, Part 3

Sasha's POV:

10 minutes passed as slow as possible. I finally heard the front door close downstairs. I got up quickly and left the room to go see her. When I opened the bedroom door, I already saw her.

"Hi love," she said, she was a little ways down the hall.
"Hi Bay," I greeted her, walking down the hall to her.
"Sash, I'm all sweaty," she warned me when I went to hug her.
"I don't care," I answered and just hugged her anyways.
"Mm, did you already shower?" She asked.
"Yeah, there's still hot water for you, don't worry," I assured her.

I pulled away from her so she could get some clothes from her room to shower. I followed her into the room and sat back on her bed. Before leaving the room, Bayley came over and kissed me.

When she did, I smiled at her. I watched her leave the room and close the door behind her. I looked back at my phone, seeing my mom messaged me.

"Hey Sasha. How was your day? I hope it went well. I wish you were still here. I love you Sash." The message read.

I quickly opened it and messaged her back.

"Hi mom! My day was really good! I know it's not your fault I had to leave. Let me know whenever you want to meet up. I love you too." I messaged back.

I continued looking through my notifications, but nothing important. I put it back on the table and waited for Bayley to finish her shower.

It took Bayley about 20 minutes to shower and come back into the room. She put her clothes into her laundry basket before sitting beside me.

"What have you been up to while I was gone?" She asked, wrapping her arm around my shoulder.
"Not much. Bianca called me and asked me how I was. And then when you went to shower, my mom messaged me," I informed her.
"Yeah? That's good," she answered.
"How was your run?" I asked her while laying down.
"It was good," she replied, laying down beside me. "I'm really tired now."
"Do you want to sleep? You don't have to stay up with me," I questioned.
"No, it's okay. I can manage to stay awake. But if I do fall asleep, I'm sorry," she responded.
"Baby, you can sleep. I had a nap earlier, you can have one too," I stated.
"It's okay love," she assured me while kissing my head.

I turned onto my side and cuddled with her again. She put her hand on my side, under my shirt. I took my left hand and reached over to grab her other hand. I just held onto her hand and rested my head on her chest.

We laid there for a bit before I realized Bayley was asleep. I reached up and kissed her lightly before turning the lamp on my side table off. I grabbed the blanket and pulled it up so it was completely covering us. It was a bit early, but we both had a really long day.

I reached over to grab my phone and make sure my alarm was set, which it was. I turned back around and made sure Bayley was still asleep. She was, so I settled with her again. I rubbed my thumb on her hand that I was still holding onto.

I couldn't really fall asleep at first, but I still tried. I had nothing else to do, and I was also tired. I looked back up at her, she was sleeping peacefully. I turned my head back down and smiled to myself. I felt safe with her. After a few minutes, I fell asleep.
