At night Tom is driving home and sees the racoons in the trash cans, he comes over scaring them away while telling them to get out of there.

Benson gives a look that basically spells out his feelings on those racoons living up to the stereotype

Tom enters and asks his wife that as the town's most respect veterinarian what is the fastest way to exterminate a racoon and then greets Ozzy who walks up to him.

The whole gang glare at this and get a nasty look on their faces

Maddie comes up to him with a letter with him asking if that what he thinks it is and its rather small, Tom opens it up and reads the SFPD have reviewed his application and that they are pleased to inform him that pending a background check and inter-department review he has been chosen to join their team.

They instantly perk up because of the idea of possibly establishing some kind of law inforcment of their own one day

Maddie is excited and opens it up to reveal the cake that she made, Tom is taken aback to see that it says "FORGET THOSE MORONS, SAN FRANCISCO SUCKS!" with a bridge on fire.
Maddie closes it in a slight panic and says it's the wrong one and brings out a different cake with an icing drawing of Tom in SFPD Uniform saying "CONGRANTULATIONS I NEVER HAD A DOUBT!" Tom is amused by this.

Kipo snorts saying her dad would do the same thing, right down to accidentally grabbing the backup cake instead of the real one

They embrace with them unable to believe it and Tom notices the open up laptop, Maddie said that she had found apartments for rent on Zillow and she had thought that Ozzy and her could fly there tomorrow and check out some neighbourhoods.

Benson nods saying it's one of the reasons he doesn't have a permanent home yet, aside from the fact that everyone wants to sell him to Scarlemagne

Tom thinks it's the craziest thing with Maddie saying that he applies for the job and he gets it, Tom mentions the pending background check.
Maddie jokes that they don't find out about the time that he used the neighbour's wifi but Tom says he is still using it.

Kipo gets confused and questions what wifi is before wolf tells her just just ignore it

Tom asks if she is sure she is okay with it but Maddie reminds him that during her time in vet school that he took two extra jobs to pay rent and her intuition respectively. Maddie says she is happy to sacrifice for him like he sacrificed for her.

The group whistles at this because that is dedication right there and ones gotta recognize game when they see it

Maddie asks if he is sure that he is okay with this as there had been a Wachowski protecting the town for more than 50 years.

This makes them question why he's wanting to leave to begin with if it's been a thing his whole family has done for three generations

Tom says he is positive as he wants to prove himself and as much as he loves Green Hills he wants to help people in real trouble. He wants to be there for someone in a life or death situation. Maddie says that she is so proud of him as they embrace some more.

Kipo awws at the sight, clearly more of the romance obsessed type with her media

Tom is on the speed trap saying that with a heavy heart that he has accepted a position in the SFPD and it will be tough to leave his hometown and his friends with him feeling like it's something that he needs to do, he was talking to a Sergeant Sprinkles donut he made little arms and legs for and put his sunglasses on. He says that he now has to tell everyone that are not donuts.
