It's no secret that (Y/n) doesn't show her emotions, there were even rumors that she's emotionless and mute or even deaf.

It wasn't true, she could hear just fine and she could speak well for her age too, she just doesn't do it. But there were moments where she did want to talk but she would always back away knowing that if she talked people would most likely want her to speak more.

From the moment she was born into this world, she was received with death and cries of anguish. She never met her mother, she died giving birth to her that much she could piece together.

And the whispers the villagers would say to each other, of her being a bad omen, bad luck and that it would bring the Madrigal family down and that she was cursed just like her father, it engraved an immense fear in her.

So she stayed quiet, if she could be quiet just enough and not show emotions... there were two possibilities. One, that the town would only think she's the bad omen and would stop bad-mouthing her dad, or that they would forget her altogether and leave them alone.

(Y/n) only wants to help her family, to lessen the pain of her father, and maybe just make the villagers see that he's not a bad guy just like how they portray him to be.

And it's not like she's not having fun or anything when she doesn't laugh out loud or she's not sad when she's not weeping loudly, she just doesn't show them.

But there were moments when she wanted to smile, they were whenever her dad and sisters were in the garden under that big tree. It was like a secret place for them where no one else ever came, and the moments she spent there were so magical and fun that she holds those memories close to her.

Sadly, times are changing and those moments in the garden under the trees are slipping away. Ever since Yaira got her gift, (Y/n) and Emma have seen her less and less. Papá has done a lot to convince her to take a break and has even kidnaped her once from her chores so she could relax and spend time with them.

And soon enough she will lose Emma in about a few months or so and then it would only be her and dad. Little by little her small family will split up leaving them all alone...

(Y/n) shook her head, this is not the time to be thinking such stuff! She has something to accomplish!

If there was one thing (Y/n) was good at, it was to strategies and cause mischief she might have gotten that from her dad but her ingenuity and her intelligence were all thanks to the stuff she has done in her alone time.

Normally she would be seen with at least with her sisters or dad but nowadays she is only seen with Emma and Bruno. But there are moments when Emma goes to play with their cousins or friends and Bruno is needed somewhere else, these rare moments when (Y/n) is left alone she does stuff she would otherwise not do.

What may you ask? Well...

One time (Y/n) found a few old wooden carriage wheels, she took out the spokes leaving only four for her to grab on with her hands and feet, she then cleaned the felloes, used vines from the forest, and attached them making a big enough wheel for her to sit inside. She then went up to a hill, sat inside the wheel held on to the spokes, and rolled down the hill at immense speed.

The hill was big and the wheel was going super-fast giving (Y/n) a headache but she didn't care this was so much fun! At the last minute, a rock got trampled in her way making her fly through the sky, she luckily landed on a tree.

(Y/n) gained a few scrapes and bruises but the euphoria and the adrenaline coursing through her veins helped her not feel the pain. She might not have smiled but the glow in her eyes is all it took to show that she was happy and having fun. Sadly, the wheel broke on impact so she couldn't try it again.
