"Within Easy Company, they had made the best friends they had ever had, or would ever have. They were prepared to die for each other; more important, they were prepared to kill for each other."
-Stephen Ambrose.

CHARLIE BLOOM WAS SURROUNDED BY MEN.
She couldn't believe the amount of time that had passed already since her time joining the paratroopers.
She spent most of her time attempting to get to know each of the men in Easy Company, which didn't seem to be that difficult for her, as most of the men enjoyed her company.

Charlie was especially good in weaponry, combat, and attempting to keep her mouth shut. Although she was never good at that, she liked to observe. Charlie tried not to show much emotion, in fact, and that scared the other men around her. She knew in the back of her mind that war was hell. The men were in constant awe with how Charlie carried herself; the girl was well-spoken but quiet at times. She could laugh when she wanted to, but with a flip of a switch, everything became flipped around almost instantly. "You okay there, Sweetheart?" Her head snapped to the sound of the voice, and she mentally cursed herself for forgetting her surroundings.

"Yeah, Lip," she nodded and gave a sly smile. Carwood Lipton, a Sergeant like Charlie, was one of her friends. When Charlie first joined the Airborne, many men of Easy Company didn't like that a woman were to join them in fighting the war. But some, like Lip, thought it was terrific.

Charlie and the Men were at Tamp Taccoa, Georgia, where they were to complete Jump Training and a series of courses following after. The world was at war, and it was crumbling before their eyes. The men hated many things about training, but they despised one thing in particular; 1st Lieutenant Sobel. He was an A-Class A - Hole in Charlie's eyes; it was the way he taught the other men and separated Charlie from the rest of the company.

"If you say so. Be ready in two." He had swiveled on his freshly polished boots to return to his bunk. She liked when she organized things accordingly. She only touched something when it needed to be touched. Everything had to be perfect in her eyes, or it wouldn't be considered good enough. She showed the men how to stack their belongings neatly and properly make their cots. They never questioned how she knew all of it.

"Everybody outside, let's go!!" Lipton had shouted in the room, and everybody dropped what they were doing to follow the man's orders. They were lined up outside in the heat, and one man, in particular,  directed them to stand at attention in a formation. They had practice on how to make one correctly, and it didn't take them long without hearing the wrath from Sobel.

"You people are at the position of attention!" She recognized that voice, That voice.
Irritable, arrogant, loud. Sobel was one of the worst in the company, and many knew his evil antics.
Sobel had come into view down the line of men, and his dark black eyes were scanning the formation.
"Private Perconte, have you been blousing your trousers over your boots like a paratrooper?" He stopped in front of a young man who was already sweating before Sobel stood before him.
"No, sir." He replies.
