Chapter 10

"Are you sure you're still okay with going out?" He asked as I entered his car. We went to my condo so I could change from my uniform. Hindi naman siya umakyat, he insisted to just wait for me in his car. Okay na rin 'yon dahil sobrang gulo ng condo ko and I had time to think a little. Napatigil naman ako when I saw him holding a bouquet of flowers. I guess I didn't notice it awhile ago because of my emotions. "Cali?"

"I'm fine." I said and smiled. I was speechless! He keeps buying me flowers!

So this is how it feels like? I never received flowers from Ethan before. Even to celebrate any valentine's day, holiday or something romantic, I never have.

"Are you sure?"

"I am sure. He's not ruining this day for us."

"Okay then." He said and offered his hand for me to hold. I held his hand and smiled at him.

"Hindi ka ba mahihirapan magdrive?"

"No."

I should stop thinking about how different they are. I should even stop remembering him. Mateo was really nice, super nice in fact. I don't know if I deserve him. He's everything good in one person. He's super quiet to others but it changes when he's with me.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked as we sat down in the restaurant he booked a reservation at.

"I'm really fine, Mateo."

"Cali, I'm just worried."

"You came naman, there's nothing to worry about." I didn't want him to keep on worrying. Everyone was worried about me and I didn't want that. We're all that matters right now, I don't give a damn about what happened earlier as long as he's with me. Now that sounds corny.

We were eating when I heard a phone ringing. I guess it was his cause I always had my phone on silent. I barely use my phone. He then checked his phone and just placed it on silent.

"You should answer that." I said, it might be important.

"It's nothing."

"Are you sure? It might be important?"

"Nothing's more important that you, Cali." He said and I rose my brow at him.

"Really?"

"I swear to God on that, Calista."

"Sweet talker." We both laughed at that. He then took out his phone, I thought he was gonna take a call but he told me to smile. He took a photo of me! "Maayos ba 'yan?" I asked giggling.

"Yes, do I have permission to post this?"
