thank you so much for sticking till the very end. it means a lot to me, please do let me know how you feel about this book? i know it might not be one of the best books you ever read but i hope it was worth your time.
if you noticed, in the very first chapter titled "⛧" , where yoongi receives the diary, i have just personified the diary but i never once mentioned yoongi's emotions or reaction towards it. well that's because this whole story is from the diary's pov, if that makes any sense. what you know in this story about my oc or yoongi is only because of what is written in the dairy. maybe there is more to yoongi's and my oc's character but you will never know because it was never mentioned in the diary. you only know the things, my oc allows herself to express in the diary.
therefore, even after coming to the very end of this story, my character's aren't completely known to you. it's like making an online friend, you just know what the other person lets you know.
this book was basically inspired by my feelings that i felt when i got to know about yoongi's shoulder surgery. i have always had the softest spot for yoongi because i always saw a piece of myself in him or you can say he is one of a big piece of mosaic that created me. whatever it is, i have always felt close connection with him and related to his pain in some way or another.
i still remember the day when i saw the news that yoongi would be going under shoulder surgery. i couldn't believe it for a moment. i didn't move from my place for a while. what did hurt me was the fact that he performed 8 years---f*cking 8 years with shoulder pain. it was truly devastating. i always thought yoongi was the most open member as he has always shared his pain with us. but i came to a realisation that no matter what, i only know the things, which he allows us to know.
even though i don't know what kind of person yoongi of this book is but i hope he is as amazing as the yoongi i know. but this story is not about yoongi, this story is about a girl who is a fangirl just like you and me. also, did you notice the chapters are titled as different moon phases which represent the different phases my oc was going through?
this is the very first draft and i'm surely not satisfied with it. i might edit or reconstruct it in the future if i ever get time. no promises lol.
