[NIGHTMARE]

Nightmare shifted a bit, sensing the light of day outside…it was the last day of his deal and he had to find an AU to destroy…
The Negativity god sat up, rubbing the sleep off his face, he noticed Error was still sleeping though he must have rolled over in his sleep as he was closer to Nightmare.
Nightmare almost smiled, glancing at Error’s hand that was half uncovered.
“Aww, the big bad destroyer is sleeping in~” Nightmare whispered. Someone as anti-social as Error never liked being around any monster for an extended period of time much less sleep this close to someone.
It was uncommon for Error to have enough trust to let his guard down like this, it made Nightmare smile.
He didn’t know why he wanted to get close to the glitch, maybe he just needed a change of pace.
Nightmare pushed himself out of the bed, careful not to disturb Error..he made a portal to the anti-void to plot an attack.
Nightmare was momentarily blinded by the anti void, when his vision improved again he wandered a distance and approached a thick binder.
Bold lettering wrote on it ‘AU ANOMALIES FOR ELIMINATION. Nightmare scoffed, he could tell Error was serious when making this binder just from the handwriting. He bent down and picked up the binder and flipped through it..most of these AUs were copies of the original Undertale just with minor changes to the Sans there…though he did run across a page with interesting code.
“Huh..the Asgore, Undyne, and Papyrus are all extremely weak here…no human or Flowey in the system, anywhere.”Nightmare mumbled, squinting at the page.
“The Sans here has..60 defense?”He looked unconvinced as if Error made an Error. [Pun intentional, suffer mortals.]
‘The whole AU is going to be a negativity feast, with a challenge at the end.’Nightmare grinned.
The gloopy skeleton took the code from the binder and made a portal to the AU, there was already a noticeable difference in scenery.
Everything was dry and desolate here, cracked earth and shrubs were the only ground coverage here aside from some dead trees.
‘Strange, there’s an actual sky here…that goes to show this must be an AU where everyone is on the surface.” Nightmare thought as he paced forward a few steps.
He didn’t spot anyone around yet, though he just kept walking in one direction knowing he had to come across something eventually.
The god noticed something ahead laying on the ground and continued to approach it.

That’s when the smell hit him…something terribly rotten. Nightmare came to the realization that he had run across a half-decayed bird of some sort. The poor avian seemed to have been mauled by something and left to decay for days, flies buzzed on the corpse.
Just judging by the beak it was most likely a vulture, that seemed to be the only bird that could live in these conditions for extended periods of time.
Nightmare grimaced, stepping away from the corpse.
“Heya buddy, what's a strange guy like you doing out here?” A voice startled Nightmare, the pitch-black skeleton whipping around to see who was watching him.
Nightmare was surprised to see it was the AU’s Sans…he looked fairly similar to classic as expected aside from rolled-up jacket sleeves and a tooth of some sort dangling from his neck.
“Lookin for chummy skeletons like you to dust.” Nightmare quickly stated, summoning a set of Midnight black blasters. He shot both of them within a split second, wanting to end the Sans in a timely manner.
Nightmare was taken back a little when the dust cleared and the skeleton was still intact.
“Wow…didn't expect you to ACT that soon-” The Sans gave Nightmare a glare, crossing his arms.
Nightmare CHECKED the skeleton to find that his blasters took a quarter of his health.
‘60 defense…he's going to be a pain in the neck.’Nightmare frowned.
Nightmare barely dodged a few incoming blasters and readied himself..he summoned sixteen bones and sent them after his enemy.
This was going to be a while…
