Falling up [13]

   Error woke up still in Nightmares bed but found that the inky black skeleton had already woken up for the day,most likely giving out long needed orders for the team. Error winced,feeling a major timeline imbalance that he had let go for the past two days,he got to his feet wobbly and realized his code was missing a few chunks. 

   "Oh great,i can't get two days of rest without the multiverse code falling apart??" Error frowned at the multiple blank patches around the dim room. The destroyer managed to pull open a weak portal to an empty 'AU' and stepped through. "At least i don't have to battle anything,i just have to take down the mainframe and it will all shut down." Error mumbled,his voice crackling in a vicious static.

    The glitchy skeleton pulled up a hologram panel for the Au's stats to unsurprisingly find them empty of any mob codes. Error punched in some key binds and recoded a shut down button,pressing it and ending the Au.

   Error instantly teleported to another empty Au,recoding the shut down button and ending that as well, he repeated this process multiple times until the timelines began to balance back to his favor. Error sighed heavily,all this teleportation between aus was taking a toll on him. "Maybe one more Au just to place my stats higher than Inks,"Error breathed with a grin,checking his stats which were currently at the same as Inks from their last encounter. Teleporting to the last empty Au was a slight struggle for error but the moment he made it he was greeted by something odd.

"Whoa!" Error instantly floated up as is gravity was reversed here. The glitch twisted awkwardly as he was stuck in the cycle of floating,weightlessness. That's when something caught Errors attention,a black fizzling entity sat at the floor of the Au unmoving. Errors whole body froze as this entity turned to face him.

It was a papyrus...HIS papyrus...

"...Sans?"The Papyrus's voice sounded glitchy and distinct,just as Errors own. "Papyrus!" Error shouted,flashing a rare grin,he flailed in the air in a attempt to ground himself. "How are you doing that?!" Error shouted,noticing that the tall glitch was staying perfectly balanced on the ground.  "Can-n't figu-u-u-re, He--el.....E-" Papyrus mumbled,his body glitching out of existence. Error looked around the white emptiness of the Au hoping to find his brother had just teleported somewhere and he didn't notice right away. "...paps?

Error paused,his gaze tracing over the ground all around him to find no trace of the tall papyrus. Error frowned now,pulling open the Au's control panel.

"Ugh...This was supposed to be something called 'Holotale' and apparently it never fully came into existence..." Error sifted through the blank files,finding infinite codes and timelines that were waiting to come to life but were just abandoned. "It looks like only the Sans and Papyrus here came into existence,it also looks like they abandoned the place." Error sneered,his thoughts covering sad flashbacks of his papyrus he was meant to coexist with. He missed him,but he accepted that he wouldn't be coming back....ever.
Error took a heavy breath and deleted the Au,the white void collapsing around him. The destroyer thankfully gained enough magic to teleport back to the mansion..emphasis on barely.
Error stumbled out of the portal,greeted by horror who was tied to a tree with feathers glued all over his body.
"What happened to you?" Error gasped for air,shooting the slouched skeleton a concerned glance.
"...Boss found out I ate one of his chickens..."Horror mumbled guiltily. Error turned and noticed Red tied to a nearby tree but didn't have any feathers covering him unlike Horror. Nightmare probably felt softer towards Red because he was slightly abused in his past..that and Red always gave Nightmare the respect none of the others half gave. And Error didn't blame him for that.

"Maybe you shouldn't have eaten his pets if you didn't want to be mocked like this" Error regained his breath and gesturing to the feathers lying on the ground. Horror gave him a sly grin before coming back with a spicy comment, "If i ate all his pets you wouldn't be standing here right now."

Red burst out in a laughing fit as well as Horror soon after,causing Error to go yellow faced. "Ill make sure to tell Nightmare to keep you guys out here overnight." He flicked his hand at Red.
