Tw/ passing out

-Karl POV-

I was sitting in the chair, Jimmy next to me. I had been waiting for around eight hours. My eyes were red and puffy, from the crying. I was also very tired. Even if it was only around 9PM, I still was very tired. Suddenly, out of nowhere there's finally a doctor standing in front of us. We both stand up. "Are you Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Donaldson," "Yes we are, is Vada okay?" I asked. His face didn't tell me anything. It looked like they had lost her but at the same time it looked like she was okay. "We took Vada into surgery, since we started to lose her, and her brain was a bit damaged. But after all, we got it fixed and her head is now fine, other than her memory. It might be a little crappy since we accidentally hit it, but she should remember by telling her. Vada does need to stay here for a while and we have to check that the wound she got from the fall starts healing and possibly take her into the X-ray later. Right now she is awake and you can calmly go see her, because loud voices can hurt her head, she is in room number 241. We will come and tell you more about the situation after you've had some time together, so Vada will hear it too." "Thank you! Thank you so much!" I said smiling and started running to the room whose number was 241. I opened the door and saw Vada in the bed with a lot of medical stuff in her, like monitor pulse in her finger, drip in her other hand, nasal cannula, "Vada! You're awake!" I said smiling as I walked next to the bed. "Are you a doctor?" She said faintly, her eyes barely open. "N-no.. I'm Karl! Karl Jacobs?" I now say fake smiling. She couldn't forget about me, right? "Don't you.. remember me.?" "No," "oh.." I said as tears started falling from my eyes and I left the room.

-Jimmy POV-

Karl left the room with tears in his eyes, leaving me and Vada alone. I sighed and looked at vada for a while, before she spoke up. "Di- did I do something wrong?" She said faintly, but she clearly was a bit upset. "No, no. It's just that Karl, the guy was just super worried for you and then you didn't remember him so, no you did not do anything wrong." There was a bit of silence, not including the heartbeat beeping of Vada's that was heard from the machine next to her bed. "Is he like.. my relative?" I sighed again. "Vada he is your best friend.." A light smile grew on her face. "I have a best friend?" I started smiling too. "Yeah you do. Do you want me to ask him in?" "Yeah," She said and I showed her thumbs up, leaving the room to go and find Karl.

-Karl POV-

Jimmy basically made me go back in Vada's room, and no matter how much I didn't feel like going, I still did, because she's my best friend who just had a surgery. "Hi, Vada.." I said as I walked in the room. She had a tired smile on her face, as she looked at me. "I have a friend, a best friend," she said almost whispering, which made me smile. I walked to the bed and sat on the edge. "You're all tired" I said taking her hand on my hands, which had the blood drip on it. "Yeah, I am," she answered, staring at me. "What are you staring at?" "You're very pretty, are you sure you're my best friend?" It made me giggle. "Yeah, I am pretty sure about it, remember in the plane, I sat next to you, you were just moving here," She looked away, being quiet for a while. "Oh, so you are the airplane Karl!" The room was again filled with giggling. "Come 'ere.." Vada said as she showed me to come closer with her arm, and so I did. The next thing I know is that her hands in my hair and soon our lips are connected, making my face go red.

Just before I can say anything, the door opens, and we both look at the door. "Hello ms. Stevens, how are you feeling?" The same doctor said that had talked to me and Jimmy before. "I'm fine, I remember something," Vada said, smiling. "Good, so the reason you've been passing out is because of your heart rate, which has suddenly gone down. And during the surgery we found out that you have Syncope, or in easier words fainting spells. It's not an actual disease, but if you faint a lot, it may cause a life threatening heart disease. And when you faint, you're alright as long as you're not gone more than twenty to thirty minutes, and when you're back, I recommend eating something and drinking something. And the surgery went well, you have to be here for some time, and we might have to take you to the X-ray but other than that, everything is good and we just have to keep an eye on you." "So this is why I've passed out so many times, and I need to stay here?" "Yes." "Fuck. Sorry.." Vada said, now looking at the ceiling. "Hey, I'll be with you!" I said turning back on Vada. "Honestly, you don't have to, you can do whatever you like." "I'd like to be here," I said, and a big smile grew on her face, which made me smile more than I was already smiling.
