One Plus One Makes Two

Winter ends so Spring begins
with promises of love
when the lonely bird frees his song into the air,
and Cupid's winds carry the melody afar.

A solitary bird fills her heart
with the sweet notes of a lark
and through the endless skies she searches
and finding the serenader she perches.

Two skylarks build one nest,
One home, a haven for eggs to rest,
one pair, one nest, under their own patch of sky
the melody becomes a lullaby.
