I wore Bruno's ruana as I laid in bed. My hearing was at its peak. I could hear echoes of thunder and talking. The stars talked to me. I was also expecting to fall asleep and have Bruno appear again.

"Pepa. One mood swing, and it goes from sunny to stormy. Bruno. People can't accept hard reality. Delores. Destroys as the ear becomes less pure. Luisa. Is the strongest, but wants to show weakness. Isabela. What is beautiful can be dangerous."

I kept mumbling what I read. Maybe someone was hearing me. Someone who understood me. I wanted someone to hear me. Maybe they would understand my powers. How to manage them. How to not make them appear in the middle of an important dinner.

"I'm sure Tia is with Abuela."

"Mom was never really fond of her. She knew, of course. And why do you keep calling her Tia?"

"Because! If you proposed to (Y/n) like Delores said you were going to, she would've been our Tia."

"(Y/n)'s in here," Antonio stated.

"How do you know?" Bruno asked.

"Because unless that is mi hermano mayor up there, that is Tia wearing your ruana," Antonio reasoned.

"Tia?"

I couldn't really move. The stars were keeping me in a daze. I wanted to say something. See if the person I loved after all those years was really there. But the stars enchanted me so much that it felt paralyzing.

"She's probably asleep. Let's get started before we get in trouble."

The stars didn't let me go until the vision was over. Bruno and Mirabel quickly left. I got down from the bed and ran off, but they were gone. I wanted to cry, but I figured out so many times that it was my imagination.

"(Y/n)."

Bruno was standing in the middle of my room. I ran over and hugged him. He wasn't a part of my imagination. He was so warm; he had a tight grip on the ruana. He pulled away and swept aside a stray strand of hair.

"The sun is coming up," Bruno noticed.

"Please don't tell me-"

Bruno was gone again before I could blink.

I ran outside just to see the flowers grow. Isabela realized. It made me grin. Isabela made a vine grow, so I landed on the flowers with her. She smiled at me. Her hair and clothes were filled with color, besides the pink and purple she was known for.

"I'm so proud of you, Isa," I gushed.

"What is going on?!" Senora Madrigal demanded.

"Abuela! It's okay. Everything's—We're going to save the miracle. The magic-"

"What are you talking about?" Senora Madrigal questioned. "Look at our home! Look at your sister!"

"Please! Just. Isabela wasn't happy-"

"Of course she isn't happy. You ruined her proposal," Senora Madrigal said.

"No. She needed me to ruin her proposal. And then we did all this. And the candle burned brighter. And the cracks—That's why I'm in the vision! I'm saving the miracle!" Mirabel gushed.

"You have to stop, Mirabel!" Senora Madrigal snapped. I'd never seen her this angry. "The cracks started with you. Bruno left because of you. Luisa's losing her powers. Isabela's out of control because of you. (Y/n)'s ruining our family because of you. I don't know why you were given a gift, but it is not an excuse for you to hurt this family!"

"We will never be good enough for you, will we?" I questioned, stepping in front of Mirabel. "I thought you loved me. I thought you loved Bruno-"

"Bruno didn't care about this family!" Senora Madrigal cut me off.

"Bruno loves this family," Mirabel stepped in. "We will never be good enough for you. No matter how hard we try. No matter how hard any of us tries. Luisa will never be strong enough. Isabela won't be perfect enough. We all love this family. It's you who doesn't care! You're the one breaking our home!"

"Don't you ever-"

"The miracle is dying because of you," Mirabel snapped.

The house crashed. Mirabel was the only one who could really get to the roof. I kept the kids from getting crushed. The casita used its tiles to throw us out of the house. I took the opportunity to grab my horse and run.

If I wasn't welcome in this family, then why was I there?
