Chapter 8;

jungkook took up deep breaths as he was working out to relieve his stress, 'out of everyone, why is this happening to me?'

"because you're a doofus and a dork, that's why." yugyeom answered him as jungkook then rolled his eyes, "you know, it's not that hard to be honest." jungkook stopped lifting his barbell as he turned to him,

"be honest to what?"

"yourself."

"you wouldn't be in this situation if you hadn't some sort of feelings for her,"

"who would ask someone to hang-out with them so quickly?"

"tell me, you want her, don't you? but your friend got in the way as you weren't honest to him when he finally admitted that he likes her."

"may, i remind you, you liked her first."

jungkook was completely silent, he was right, he was too dishonest to himself, and that made things worst.

the two friends were walking to the exit after their performance, getting ready to eat food after the special stage.

"yeom, you're under jyps company right?" jungkook asked yugyeom as he made a weird face wondering why he would ask that when jungkook always goes to the jype to pick him up for their hangouts.

"do you know her?" jungkook showed a photo of a girl when yugyeom already knew where this was going, "why? you have a crush on her?"

"yeah. do you know her?" yugyeom choked on his food as he was that straight-forward, "ye-yeah, her name is chou tzuyu, she's the maknae of twi-"

"does she have someone special .. like a boyfriend?" yugyeom rolled his eyes and shook his head no, "kook, i've never seen you like this, you okay?" yugyeom jokingly touched his forehead as he then laughed,

"answer!"

"they're on a dating ban koo, but uh i heard they we're having a new comeback!"
"really?"
"yeah, it's called TT."

"this is so difficult," jungkook complained at yugyeom as he was just using his phone,

"cope with it."

they were then having random talks at jungkook's reserved gym as his phone beeped, "i'll get it!" yugyeom ran towards the sofa and took jungkooks phone- oh.

"why do you have yeri's number?" yugyeom asked as jungkook sighed, "maybe i'll give her a chance, or maybe i'll even try to love her."

yugyeom then couldn't believe what he was saying, "and here i thought you liked tzuyu."

"i do!"

"then why are you including yeri in this situation."

"i don't know,"

"make up you're mind kook, don't dig a hole bigger than this."

yugyeom's right, i need to make up my mind, but h-how? "yeom, let's invite the other '97 liner i wanna take shots."

"is that really the best way to deal with this?"

"no, but i'm going to do it anyway."

jungkook then texted his friends to come into a near bar in where he mostly vent out his problems if life really fucked him up with this one.

his friends came. obviously, from the first take they wouldn't but yugyeom explained what was really happening, all of them came except mingyu, who was apparently dealing with some schedules, and even if he did came, that wouldn't end good.

as he and his friends drink, he's getting really drunk, blurting out his problems, as per jaehyun and yugyeom, they saw how affected and considerate jungkook truly is,

"is it greedy to like someone now? i like her! and even if i try so hard, my heart always leads to her. only her." jungkook took his nth shot, before he can drink it, someone already took his hand.

"you're problem is that you prioritize other people rather than you, learn to be selfish sometimes, it is your life to live in, do you really want to keep in your feelings forever? stop being so selfless." yugyeom said sternly, but carefully so that jungkook can realize his own mistakes,

"yugyeom's right, jungkook, consider yourself more, before others." jaehyun cut in and agreed with yugyeoms advice,

jaehyun and yugyeom were blackout drunk, while jungkook processed his friends advice, but then again, he's also drunk so without action, jungkook called someone thinking it was tzuyu, the person picked it up and jungkook immediately spat his feelings out,

"tzuyu, i love you, i've al-always been loving you, i am such a fo-fool to admit this over a-a call. i'll try to be the best version of myself to you, i'm sorry, i'm a coward, i am. but i dont want min-mingyu to hate me for liking you, i was disregarding myself to find both of your happiness together, but i realize, i dont want that, i want yo- "

the person end his call, as jungkook gulped as tears were starting to pool over his eyes not until he blacked out with his friends.

it's been weeks, and jungkook finally decided that he wouldn't go for tzuyu's lead, he "reasoned" out that he has many more projects and that he couldn't balance his time and would just prefer if mingyu is her lead guy,

but bangpd said "jungkook, listen, i know we gave you weeks to decide, but, again, dispatch threatened us to post the photos, and this can really affect you and tzuyu's career, so I suggest you sign this contract", jungkook know's bangpd serious, but at the same time, he keeps thinking of mingyu, his own bestfriend

"then why even ask me for it when you're going to force to sign it?"
"no i wont sign this."

not knowing, mingyu picked up jungkook's drunk call, and now has been listening his bestfriend giving up tzuyu for him to be happy,
