The air feels warm and cold at the same time.

I look up. An entire mass fluff of darkened grey clouds look down, straight back at me.

In the distance, something rumbles, like a hungry stomach long forgotten.

Suddenly, the glowing screen in my hand flickers out. A blank screen.

Out of battery.

I turn around and my eyes rove over the darkened landscape.

An old building serving as a bus terminal. A lightened phone booth.

It seems to be calling to me.

I slip my phone inside my bag's outer pocket.

And leave my sanctuary under the streetlight.
