I open my mouth but nothing escapes.
No words, I have no idea what to say, to reply, to speak.
The background noise of the coffee shop drops away and there is a fuzzy tension that pulls at my mind.
His eyes pierce mine.
The eyes that were bottomless wells reflected with starlight.
They pierce and then drown my eyes.
I blink and close my mouth.
And shake my head, dropping my eyes.
I hear him take a sip of his drink.
"You must have the Sense, then."
"The Sense?" A genuine question.
