"Y/N," Jay muttered when he saw Y/N walking out of the mansion along with Sunghoon. His eyes were filled with worry, pain, and longing. He had missed her terribly. There wasn't a single day where he didn't think of her or wonder if she was okay.
He was anxious and so worried, that maybe he wouldn't see her once again. So, once his gaze fell on her, he ran to her.
"Jay-" Before she could speak, Jay had already held her in his arms, putting his head in the crook of her neck. He hugged her so tight, that all of her broken pieces fit back together.
"Y/N..." He muttered as he let out a sigh of relief. "You're h-here."
It sounded like he didn't believe that she was right in front of him and that he was embracing her. Because he spent so much time thinking about her as if she was gone for good. But that wasn't the case, and so, his eyes glistened as he stared at her.
Y/N didn't know if she wanted to cry or smile at the sight of Jay, but she indeed missed him a lot. If she missed him a little less, she could have been able to explain it.
"Stop being so close to her..."Sunghoon muttered, grabbing his sister's hand. "Come here, H-Haneul..."
Whenever he called her name, he always cried or felt guilty. He never thought a day would come when he'll call it with the biggest smile on his features and eyes glistening.
"What...?" Jay furrowed his eyebrows as he stared at Sunghoon in confusion.
"Haneul?" The familiar voice from behind Jay made her heart drop. Niki was confused and Jungwon was staring at her as if trying to recall something. "As in... Park Haneul?"
Sunghoon smiled as his eyes brimmed with tears, and Y/N looked down at their intertwined hands as he gently squeezed hers. "She's my s-sister..."
Jay was taken aback, for he widened his eyes at the two. How did it happen? How was it possible?
"S-sunghoon," Y/N called as she wiped her tears, staring at her older brother. He was so happy, she had never seen him like that. None of them did.
"She's my sister!" He shouted, laughing and smiling so widely. "She's Park Haneul! She's a-alive! She's my sister!"
It was as if he was shouting it the world and to their fate. Years ago, it took away his sister from him and left him with only pain and guilt, but today his sister is standing next to him. She was finally there, and no one would take her away from him.
No one asked about what happened or how, they just took in the news and felt happy that Y/N finally reunited with them and her brother. They were relieved that Sunghoon finally found his little Haneul, except that she wasn't little anymore.
During the whole ride back to their place, Sunghoon had never let go of his sister's hand. He stole glances at her from time to time, trying to take in his features. She had always been like a sister to him, but he'd never thought that she was her.
Who could have said that the little Haneul, who loved tulips and staring at the blue sky, was the strong and fierce Y/N they had known for a long time? Haneul used to smile all the time, but Y/N was always holding rage and revenge inside her heart.
No one said a word until they arrived in front of the unfamiliar place that Y/N assumed was Niki's mansion. He was wealthy; a few mansions here and there were nothing.
They got out of the car as Niki's men got out of the black vans and lined up on the sides of the main door. The scene reminded her of when they were back in Japan, but the memories of that time weren't pretty. They just left her with guilt, pain, and regret.
