"Watashitachiha kōdō o okosanakereba narimasen." Niki's grandfather said in a serious tone. (We have to make a move)

"He doesn't have any family," Jay muttered. "We could have taken someone of his people a hostage but he fucking has no one."

Y/N gulped, looking down at her fidgeting fingers. Would it be a good idea to tell them who she was?

"We're not monsters, we don't hurt innocent people." Sunghoon reminded.

"I sent our men to look for any information about him, and..." Niki said, sighing.

"What? Speak up." Jungwon urged him as he leaned forward.

"He's in Japan, and apparently, he's staying in a zone that no one can enter." He explained. "Hundreds of armed men are protecting the place and security cameras are everywhere."

"Heeseung can hack them and we c-" Sunoo unconsciously said when Jay glared at him.

"Shut up." He snapped.

"Jay."

Looking at Jungwon, Jay clenched his jaw before he muttered a low 'sorry' to Sunoo. And the latter looked away, almost feeling pathetic because of how he hoped everything was just a lie. Better yet, a nightmare.

"That fucking asshole," Jake tightened his fists as he stood up from his seat. "We should have killed him! We should have burnt him alive for fuck's sake!"

"Jake, calm d-"

"I can't calm down!" He shouted. "I don't know if anyone of you would betray me again! I'm s-scared! I... p-please make it s-stop..."

And then, he broke down crying. He put his hands on both his ears and cried, his heart aching at every heartbreak he had to live. He had enough, he just wanted the voices in his head to stop.

"Watashitachiha tatakau junbi ga dekite imasen," the old man said. "Sō ka." (We're not ready to fight, I see)

Leaving them alone, he slowly walked out of the room before Y/N rushed to Jake. And he hugged her so tightly like there was no tomorrow, begging her to stay by his side, unlike everyone that left him fighting his demons on his own.

"I'm here." She said, hugging him tighter.

"I'm not leaving." She said, softly stroking his hand as he slept peacefully. After his breakdown earlier, he just wanted to close his eyes and not think about anything. And Y/N promised to stay by his side.

"Y/N..." Jake muttered in his sleep, making her frown. "Don't go..."

Her heart felt too heavy as she stared at him so vulnerable. A bitter chuckle left her lips when she remembered her first days with them. He was so mean and rude to her, but little did she know that he was just trying to hide the feelings he had for her.

"Y/N?" The sudden - not really familiar - voice surprised her. She turned around, staring at Konon who stood at the door. "Do you have a moment? I need to talk to you."

Frowning, Y/N slowly stood up as she let go of Jake's hand and walked to Konon. "Is everything okay?" She asked, only now realizing that Konon spoke Korean perfectly.

They walked down the corridor until they arrived at Konon's room, going inside before she closed the door behind her.

Y/N stood in the middle of the room, grabbing the sides of her skirt as she waited nervously. And when Konon didn't say a word, she raised her head and stared at her. The girl's eyes were staring coldly at Y/N, and that sent shivers down her spine.

"What's-"

"When are you going to tell them the truth?" Konon spoke, making Y/N freeze in her place.

"How-" Y/N's eyes widened in fear.
