Midnight cheered.

All eyes landed on Midoriya as they stared at him like he was prey that needed to be hunted down.
Midoriya remained unfazed as he shrugged his shoulders and chuckled.

"Now do any of you have questions!"
Midnight asked.

Midoriya raised his hand.

"Midoriya!"
She pointed at him.

"My group can't touch me without burning to death.
No one can.
And I don't think the bands are fire resistant either. What do I do?"
He asked.

"The bands are fire resistant, like the clothes you're wearing.
Hm...

Technically as long as you don't touch the ground with your group, you should be fine."
Midnight replied.

"Heh nice"

"Come get your bands and form your teams!!"

After everyone had gotten their point bands they looked to team up with people.
Midoriya groaned as he was swarmed by people who wanted to be in his group.

"Midoriya! Let me join!"

"Yeah and me!!"

"No me!"

"A group only needs 3 people.
I have more than enough points to pass to the next round without needing to steal.

But how boring would that be?

I'll pick Sero and kaminari."

"You 2.
You'll be the only 2 in my group."
He announced as groans spread through the rest of the crowd that dispersed at once.

"Thanks!!"

"I won't let you down!"

"...so who's gonna be the head of the horse?"
Sero asked.

"Me.
I'll be flying around, she didn't say I had to be bound to you 2.
I can protect my band alone and since it's enough points to move onto the next round there isn't much to worry about."
Midoriya replied.

"Oooo that's smarttttt"

"Get into position!!!"
Midnight announced, time was up.

Midoriya flew up gently above Sero and Kaminari as they stood there, they had to stay close in order to remain from getting disqualified however that wasn't true for Midoriya as since he was the head of the horse he could move around as he pleased as long as he didn't touch the ground.

"BEGIN!!"

Midoriya flew up higher as the teams all collectively charged for him.

"Time to make this remotely interesting"
He grinned as he shot out a couple feathers.
He had them circle around him in orbit, he created a difficult to break barrier around his neck where his band had been.

Since the band was still technically able to be grabbed, it wasn't an illegal move.

"THAT BAND IS MINE DEKU!!"
Bakugo screamed as he charged directly for Midoriya.

Seconds before Bakugo could reach his neck, Midoriya flung him back to the ground with a chuckle.

"HOW DID HE DO THAT?!"

"WOAH WHAT WAS THAT!"

"IT WAS LIKE AN INVISIBLE FORCE STOPPED HIM!"

"I THOUGHT HE WAS LIKE HAWKS AND JUST HAD THOSE WINGS???"
