'Gojo-sensei said Y/N returned to her organization, but I can't wrap my head around it. She wouldn't simply disappear without saying goodbye. It doesn't make sense for her to leave all of the sudden when she was just enrolled to Jujutsu Tech.' Megumi was lost in thought as he walked side by side with Nobara, the black-haired teen couldn't make sense of Y/N's absence.

He had gone to go check on her earlier only to see her dorm room empty of her presence though all her stuff remained, when Megumi questioned his teacher about the red-haired girl's whereabouts, the older male smiled childishly and informed him that Y/N had been called back to Yokohama by her boss.

Of course, Nobara was also told the same thing, she also couldn't understand why the gravity user would just vanish without saying a word.

"Couldn't they put in a few more vending machines?" Nobara complained, turning to look at Megumi with a canned drink in her hand breaking Megumi from his train of thought.

"They can't. There are only so many workers who can come in here." Megumi explained as Nobara opened her can, taking a long sip out of her drink.

...

Elsewhere from the two standing near the vending machines Panda scanned the area around him searching for something. "Huh? Where are the first-years?"

"On errands." Maki replied walking ahead of Panda and Inumaki, "Bonito flakes."

"Will they be okay?"

"Salmon."

"They're not three years old. They can handle an errand run."

"No, that's not what I mean," Panda put a finger up to his chin, "It's today, right? The day Kyoto's principal comes. To go over the exchange event."

"Tuna."

"Satoru's fighting with the higher-ups because they arranged for the first-years to get dispatched on that special-grade case, right? And the principal of Kyoto is one of those higher-ups, isn't he? So, if they run into each other..."

"The first-year they were targeting, Itadori, is dead. I doubt he has any plans to do anything about the other three. Besides, the old man from Kyoto won't cause a scene in broad daylight." Maki had said reassuringly, "though, we still have yet to see the second first-year girl that was also sent to the juvenile detention center, Megumi and Nobara had said she was injured but we should have at least run into her at this point. Makes me wonder where she is."

"Salmon."

"An instructor might have his position to worry about, but that's not the case for the students."

Panda injected, his words causing Maki to stop walking all of a sudden, "are you saying Mai is coming?" The green-haired girl turned to look at the bear questioningly.
