"Hello? Momo? Don't worry, it's a rubber bullet. More importantly, that light earlier was Ultimate Cannon, right? But I can't get in touch with Mechamaru."
Mai conversed with Nishimiya over a phone call after she had knocked Nobara unconscious with her cursed energy fused rubber ammo.
"If he was forced to use such a powerful technique and this is the end result, he probably lost. Panda will most likely be back. Get away from there and support everyone from above. We're all in trouble without you."
"Okay. Mai, I..." Nishimiya muttered softly.
"It's all right, Momo. I know."
"Yeah." The blonde-haired girl replied as Mia pulled her phone away from her ear, ending the phone call with the blonde teen before stuffing the phone into her pocket while hearing the familiar voice of her older sister who stood on a nearby tree branch.
"What, not gonna call your friends? I don't mind going two-on-one." Maki confidently chimed to her younger twin.
"There are other ways to enjoy this, you know? I could have everyone beat you up together, but I'd like to enjoy you...all by myself." Mai said as she stood up, pointing her revolver straight at her older sister.
"How about treating me with some respect, kiddo." Maki teased; raising the blade of the katana she had stolen from Miwa in retaliation back at the younger dark-haired Zenin sibling.
Small Flashback
"What do you think of Maki?" Nobara questioned the pink-haired boy who stood next to her.
'She'll be mad no matter what I say!' Yuji internally exclaimed in terror of how the ginger-haired girl would react to his response. He nervously diverted his eyes to the side. "I-I think she's a very wonderful lady."
"Huh? I'm talking about as a sorcerer." Nobara replied, quirking a puzzled eyebrow up at the teen.
"Oh, that? Thank goodness!" Yuji breathed a sigh of relief while throwing his head back. The three sorcerers of Panda, Yuji, and Nobara peeked around the corner of a building as they talked amongst themselves while Y/N, Inumaki, Megumi, and Maki strolled past the trio, immersed in their own conversation.
"Honestly, I still don't know much about jujutsu and all that, but she's a fighter. Maybe it's her balance or the way she walks but you can tell she's something else." Yuji added as he gazed at the four sorcerers walking in one direction together.
"Maki is a fourth-grade." Nobara announced making the pink-haired teen direct his attention at her in slight disbelief.
"Huh? Seriously?"
"Her family is an annoying clan of sorcerers. After she basically expelled herself and left, they've been interfering with her promotion."
"If they're a powerful sorcerer family, why wouldn't they want someone that strong?" Yuji asked as he — along with Nobara and Panda, had moved back from the corner while pointing in direction of the dark-haired girl.
