"That should do it." Dazai chimed with utter complacency as he waltzed to the far end of the long rectangular dining table that had been arranged extravagantly with a diversity of party foods neatly positioned on the dark table cloth.

Conveying a small plate in his left hand, the brunette's legs glide past the buffet as a massive bouquet of celebratory balloons — tied together by rows of colorful streamers loomed above his head.

"I can't wait. Imagine how happy that brat's going to be when he finds out he's getting such a grand party in honor of his newfound freedom."

Humming audibly, Dazai sat the small dish onto the table — the corners of his lips tugging upward for a brief second into a subtle authentic smile. "Here's the cake as I promised, Y/N-chan."

The slice of cake enthralled the youngest Nakahara, the way her blue optics glistened excitedly once the cake was placed in front of her was evidence of that.

At first, Y/N was highly discombobulated when Dazai had approached her privately about throwing a party for her and her older brother; especially when the brunette mentioned that this party that Dazai was throwing was inside an abandoned warehouse.

Y/N thought that the idea of an alleged party venue being in a warehouse was particularly odd. She was almost certain that she might have misheard the brunette.

Not to mention, the circumstances were completely randomized — however with just the slightest indication from Dazai of a large two-tiered cake, the dubious younger redhead was easily swayed within the blink of his eye.

Much easier than what Dazai originally had been anticipating. It almost made him laugh.

"Dazai-kun." Randou's voice coaxed the brunette's attention onto himself as Y/N skewered the sweet dessert with her fork.

"You said you found out who's behind Arahabaki. Is that true? Or did you lie to torment Chuuya-kun?"

"Both, of course. I said that in front of him so he'd take on the bet, but it's also true that I know who's behind it."

"Oh?" Randou straightened his spine against the backing of his chair out of interest of the brunette's conclusions, "who is it?"

"You, Randou-san." Randou eyed the bandaged boy wordlessly to not portray any indiscretion as Y/N's eyebrow quirked up — intrigued to where this discussion was leading, "you impersonated the former boss and spread rumors about Arahabaki. Do you have anything to say?"

"What's your reasoning?"

"You've made a mistake. A very basic mistake."

"And what mistake is that?"

"The sea." Dazai fixed the mafia's sub-executive with a cold gaze, one that could very well make the fiery pits of hell freeze over. "You said this, when you saw Arahabaki and the black flames..."
