Chapter 22

I groan slightly as I look at myself in the mirror. The white sundress I wore hug my belly which made it look bigger than it was. I felt huge to say the least. It was expected since I was almost five months into this pregnancy.

Sam was hosting a gener reveal party at my house so Ben and I could find out the gender of our growing child. She asked me to wear white and then proceeded to buy me a dress anyway. I put my hands on my belly gently. I gasp feeling a slight flutter of the baby moving against my touch.

"Ben!" I yell, calling for my husband who was in the other room with my brother.

The door opens shortly afterwards. My brother and my husband stood in the doorway with worried expressions.

"You okay?" Ben asks walking over to me.

I nod reaching for his hand. I press it to the spot my hand was just at on my belly. Ben looked at me confused until he felt what I felt earlier.

"Wow" Ben says smiling before turning to Woods who was watching us. "Baby's kicking and moving. You wanna feel?"

"Um duh" Woods says walking over. Woods gently puts his hands when Ben's was. He smiles feeling the baby kick his hand "That's extraordinary."

"Isn't it?" I says smiling.

"Hey you guys you-" I hear Sam start to say before stopping at the door looking at us. "My godbaby is moving and you didnt tell me!" She says rushing over nudging Woods out of the way.

I laugh as she puts her hands in my belly. I could feel the baby flutter inside me probably getting annoyed with all the hands touching them. Sam smiles at the feeling.

"Okay. I think they are getting annoyed" I say smiling.

"Right, everyone is ready for you two outside for the reveal" Sam says.

"Okay sounds good. We will be right out" I say to Sam before she pulls Woods out of the bedroom.

"You look great" Ben says to me.

"I feel huge" I say back.

"You're not huge. You have a growing baby in you" Ben says.

"I know" I say before kissing him gently. "Come on let's go."

Ben and I headed out to the backyard where Sam had set up the gener reveals. I smile at everyone who at came. My mom runs up to me and hugs me tightly.

"Look at you! Glowing brighter than ever" My mom says holding me at arms length away so she could look me over.

"Thanks Mom" I say before heading over to Sam. "Alright Miss God Momma. Let's get started."

Sam claps excitedly since she planned this party. We decided that her and Matt were the only two allowed to know the gender before the party. This allowed them to plan something nice for us.

Sam leads me out to the center of the yard, while Matt leads Ben out behind me. She pulls my hands out in front of me with Bens on either side of me.

"Okay Matt is gonna blind fold both of you while we prep you guys" Sam explains before walking away. Matt goes ahead and blind folds me then Ben. After a bit i feel the cold sensation of paint being brushed over my hands before my hands are moved to press against my belly. I feel Ben's hands shortly aftermine. "Okay dont move" Sam says walking away from Ben and I. I bit my lip nervously wondering what Sam had planned for us. "Alright everyone. Let them have it."

"What?" I say just before I get pelleted with a cold wet substance. I squeal slightly pressing back into Ben. "Samantha!" I scream slightly lauging.

Soon Sam come over and pulls our masks off. Everyone in front of us were holding water guns and we quiet. I look down at my dress that was once all white. Now it was coated in splatters of pink. Black hand prints were left on my belly from Ben and I's hands.

"Its a girl!" I scream excitedly. I spin around and press my hands to Ben's face kissing him. As I pull away I laugh at the black paint on Ben's face.

"We're having a baby girl" Ben whispers to me. I nod quickly tears filling my eyes.

The sound of slow clapping causes us to turn toward an uninvited guest. Ben pushes me behind him protectively. I peak out around Ben to see a lady with blonde hair standing there.

"Congratulations Benjamin" She says.

"What do you want, Deborah" Ben growls.

"What? Am I not allowed to come congratulate my favorite scientist on his new baby." Deb says.

Matt and his team comes to stan beside me. Woods pulls me back into him, holding me protectively.

"You aren't welcome here" Ben says to her. "You let me waste away. Lied to Matt and his team. You have no right to be here"

"I came only to give your lovely wife a gift. For the baby of course" Deb says pulling out a box out of her bag.

I look at her slightly before stepping away from Woods. I walk around Ben only to have him grab my arm. "Its okay" I whisper to him. I walk up to her and takes the box from her.

"I hope you like it" Deb says smiling at me.

I open the box in front of her. Inside was a baby rattle. It looked to be made of a thick glass. Inside was a red liquid. I knew what it was as soon as I seen it. Serum. 

"Is this a joke?" I ask look up at her.

"I'm not sure what you mean" Deb says her smile fading.

"Did you really think I would fall for this?" I say shoving the box back into her hands "like I would ever let my baby play with something that contains serum. You may leave now"

I turn away and walk back towards Ben. "You're gonna regret not accepting my gift Y/N" Deb growls at me.

"Am I?" I ask looking back at her. "Hope there's not hard feelings because I took Ben from you. From what I heard you werent much of a lover anyway." I smirk at her. "You may go now. If you come near me or my family ever again, I will not hesitate to end you."

"Are you threatening me?" Deb asks.

"It's not a threat. Its a promise" I say. "Matt, Woods please escort the uninvited guest out of my yard"

"With pleasure" They both say angerily.

Ben pulls me close, kissing me roughly "This is why I love you"
