With our bags packed with necessities, we borrowed some horses, sharing a kiss before mounting them, and then set out on our quest for the amulet. The first stop would be the nearby city of Elswood, where we would replenish our supplies and sleep for the night.

The city of Elswood is built along the banks of a mighty river, surrounded by a vast forest, and is truly an ever-growing sight. Its appearance is matched by the backdrop of modest hills that have helped shape the city into what it is today.

The resources these hills brought are of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built with many round shapes and wide sizes, similar to the fields around them.

During our journey, we talked about anything and everything. We also made up their own games and cracked jokes.

Upon entering Elswood, we rented a room at the local inn. After heading to our room, we washed up and then headed out to explore the city.

In order to obtain food and drinks, we stopped at the Lazy Orc Tavern. From the outside, it looks warm, cheerful, and inviting. Soft-wooden planks and hard-wooden pillars make up most of the building's outer structure. It's impossible to see through the high windows, but the energy and excitement from within can be felt from the outside.

As we entered the tavern through the well-crafted, metal door, we are welcomed by joyful music and a feeling of comfort. The bartender is busy but still manages to welcome us with a friendly nod.

It's as alluring inside as it is on the outside. Squared, wooden beams support the upper floor and the torches attached to them. The walls are empty, besides the lighting, most likely because of customers stumbling against the walls too often and knocking off anything on the walls.

The tavern itself is packed. Passing traders seem to be the primary clientele here, which could be seen as a bad sign, though they're sure it's not. Several long tables are occupied by, what must be separate groups who have bonded over great food and conversation.

The other, smaller tables are also occupied by people who seem to be close to the owner, though they happily welcome others in their midst. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company.

We had heard rumors about this tavern, supposedly it was famous for something, but they couldn't remember what for. Though judging by the number of cups, tankards, and glasses on the table, it's probably the fine alcoholic drinks. We manage to find seats and prepare for what will undoubtedly be a great evening.
