Your alarm blared obnoxiously, jolting you awake. With a groan, you slapped the snooze button and dragged yourself out of bed. Feet shuffling, you made your way to the bathroom for a quick shower, brushed your teeth, and threw on your usual outfit.

Downstairs, the smell of breakfast greeted you before you even reached the kitchen.

"Morning, sunshine~" your mom chimed, all smiles as usual. She motioned for you to sit at the table and placed a plate of food in front of you.

"Morning, woah since when did you become a chef?" you teased, diving straight into your meal. "I could get used to this five-star treatment, y’know."

After devouring the last bite, you rinsed your plate, threw it in the dishwasher, and grabbed a yogurt from the fridge as a bonus snack.

"I won't be long, Ma," you reassured, giving her a quick hug.

"I know Bug, just be safe, and come back in one piece," she said, kissing your forehead like you were still five.

"Psh, no promises," you smirked. "If I get abducted by aliens, please make sure my room stays tidy." You waved off her amused chuckle and headed out.

Walking along the sidewalk, you were zoning out when you noticed four guys walking in your direction. One of them, with piercings and what looked like pale purple hair, stood out—definitely not trying too hard or anything.

You looked down to avoid making eye contact and, of course, managed to bump right into him.

"Ah—sorry," you muttered, trying to sidestep him.

"Watch where you’re—" He started but stopped when he looked at you, a slow, cocky smirk spreading across his face.

Next thing you knew, he'd thrown an arm around your shoulder, yanking you close like you were his next big prize. "Well, aren't you a beauty," he drawled, tilting your chin up to meet his gaze. "In a hurry? Don’t you wanna stick around for a while?"

You raised a brow, unimpressed. "Unless your idea of 'sticking around' involves me getting free coffee and not your greasy arm on me, then hard pass." You pushed his arm off, rolling your eyes, and his fingernail nicked you on your cheek.

He chuckled darkly, clearly enjoying your sass. "Oh, I like that. You’ve got some bite." He leaned in closer. "Why don't you come with me? I can give you a life of luxury. Anything you could ever want~."

Horns. Tail. A demonic aura swirling around him—how did I not notice this freak show earlier? You swallowed your nerves and quipped, "Wow, luxury? I don't even know you... So no thanks I’m good."

His grin widened, clearly amused. "The name's Reiji Shiratori..." he introduced himself, his lips grazing your ear.

You stared for a second before muttering under your breath, "Good god help me..."

"I'll be back for your answer... I have some unfortunate business to take care of." He practically purred.

"Yeah, sure, good luck with that." You waved him off, trying to appear as unbothered as possible as you mentally cursed yourself for attracting attention.

You didn't waste a second sprinting to the coffee shop. The world seemed painfully normal—too normal. Am I going crazy? You burst through the doors of the coffee shop, and Momo immediately spotted you, sprinting over and trapping you in one of her signature bone-crushing hugs.
