Grif woke up around 8:00 to see Simmons wasn't in bed beside him he sat up rubbing his eyes "Hey Sims where did you go?!" Grif called out "I'm in the kitchen!" Simmons called back Grif got out of bed picking up Spice choosing to not put his shirt on as he walked to the kitchen "Mm Morning Love" Grif yawned, going to feed Spice "How long have you been awake?" Grif poured the cat food into the dish "6 I think I went on a walk this morning" Simmons handed Grif a coffee "You should of woke me I would of gone with you" Grif took a sip of his coffee sitting down at the bar stool by the counter "You deserved to sleep in I got a chance to talk with Wash anyways" Simmons placed a plate in front of Grif it had a bagel with an egg on it Grif nodded placing a kiss on Simmons cheek "Thanks love" Grif took a bite out of his food "This is really good!" Grif immediately perked up shoving the food into his mouth "Careful you might choke" Simmons laughed while taking a drink of his tea "I'm sorry it's just so good!" Grif finished his food "I'll take that as a compliment to my cooking uh question who is going to watch Spice while we're gone?" Simmons took Grif plate going to rinse it off "The neighbours will be checking up on him feed him and all that" Grif hummed wrapping his arms around Simmons waist placing his chin on his shoulder "Go relax we dont leave until tonight" Simmons turned around kissing Grif gently he tasted just as he imagined like Cinnamon and Oreos Grif smiled deepening it having Simmons pinned to the counter Simmons soon pulled back smiling "Go shower you big goof" Simmons pushed Grif off so he could finish the dishes Grif grumbled smiling "Fineee" He walked off to go shower while Simmons finished the dishes and went to check they had everything ready for the trip "Okay just need our toothbrushes and we can buy other toiletries once there" Simmons zipped up the bag "Grif we need to pick up more cat food before we leave!" Simmons called out he heard the shower door slide open and the shower turn off "Okay we'll go once im dressed!" Grif called out leaving the bathroom soon after

*4 Hours later*

"Time to leave you all ready?" Grif lifted up their shared bag "Yep time to go see the others-" Simmons anxiety started to rise he had known them for years but the idea of seeing them was still scary "Good the Cab is outside let's get going" Grif took Simmons hand in his but Simmons quickly grabbed Marrow off the bed Grif smiled up at his boyfriend "Head outside I need to check one final thing" Grif grinned Simmons nodded heading to the living room Grif checked the side pocket of the bag to make sure the box was still there he opened it staring at the ring sighing "It's going to be okay" Grif closed the box putting it back in the bag before heading out to the living room and putting his shoes on "Florida here we come!" He laughed linking arms with Simmons
