After arriving in Florida Grif and Simmons went to meet Wash and Tucker by the boarding gates Simmons definitely did not expect to be tackled to the ground by a crying Donut "You're really awake oh I was so worried!" Doc pulled Donut off of Simmons "It's good to see your awake sorry about him he's been extremely worried" Doc smiled at Simmons Well it was slightly expected what Simmons was really surprised by was Sarge standing there talking with Wash their eyes met and Simmons quickly averted his eyes to his shoes "I thought you were on Chorus" Sarge placed a hand on Simmons shoulder "I couldn't miss seeing my second in command again wanted to check you were all healed up" Simmons was terrified Sarge would make him join the army again Grif noticed the look of fear on his boyfriend face and took his hand in his "Don't worry we are retired for good the old man just never stops" Grif smiled "What did you call me you lazy good for nothin-'' Wash cut Sarge off "Were all here let's leave now!" He rushed them all out of the airport Donut slipped to the side to talk with Grif as Simmons and Wash tried to calm Sarge "Did you bring it?" Donut asked with a smug grin Grif patted the side of his bag with a nod "This is so exciting!" Donut clapped his hands "Quiet down or he might hear you" Doc chuckled walking past them to go talk with Simmons Grif smiled staring at Simmons who glanced back smiling at him waving at him to hurry up he quickly caught up with the others and grabbed onto Simmons hand as they walked to the hotel they were staying at Wash signed them in and brought them to there room "We will meet up for dinner i'll see you both" Wash waved goodbye after giving Simmons the key card "I'm so excited it's nice seeing everyone again" Simmons took his shoes off and laid down on the bed too tired to do anything else Grif did the same following suit "Yeah hey you look tired did you want to take a nap before dinner?" Grif asked locking the door handing Simmons Marrow pulling the blanket over them Simmons nodded yawning Grif laughed slightly smiling "Alright" they both fell asleep Grif holding Simmons close to his chest
