Corey and Lucas were in Corey's office (A/N pretend there is one) Corey was sitting in a chair behind his desk, Lucas was sittin in a chair on the other side of Corey.
C - I know what this is about.
L - You do???
C - You want my blessing. Correct?
L - I do sir.
C - but first I need to know what you like about my daughter?

Lucas knew that Mr. Matthews was challenging him. Lucas knew that Corey was trying to see if Lucas was even worth to date his daughter. So Lucas just spoke from the heart.

L - She is always putting others before herself. She is always there for her friends and family. She always tried to do the right thing. She has to be the smartest person I know. To be honest sir, I am in love with your daughter!

Corey was speechless when Lucas told him that he loved Riley.

L - I probably have since she fell into my lap. I love her smile. I love her laugh. I love how she always tries to do the right thing. I love how she always tries to be a good daughter, student, friend, & sister.

C - Will you ever hurt my daughter?
L - sir if I ever hurt your daughter then I would be regretting that decision for the rest of my life! If anyone else tries to hurt her, they would have to through me! Sir I would die before letting Riley get hurt!
C - are you only wanting to date her to win a bet or something?
L - No sir. I have been wanting to do this since the student elections. I just never found the right time.
C - will you ever push my daughter into doing something that she isn't ready for?
L - No sir. I don't wanna push her. She calls the shots.
C- Idon't want her education to fail just because of some boy.
L I promise you sir that I won't stand in the way of that.
C What else do you promise me?
L I promise to always be there for her. I promise to always do everything that's in me to protect her from anything or anyone. I promise to always treat her right.

As Lucas was making all these promises, Corey could tell that he meant every single last one of them.

C - I approve.
L - you do?
C - this whole conversation I've noticed that sparkle in your eye. It's the sparkle I have with Topaga. I can tell that you aren't lying to me. so you now officially have my blessing. If you keep your promises.
L - I will sir. All I want to do is make her happy.
