Lucas POV
I slowly walked into her hospital room. It broke my heart to see her attached to different kinds of cords that hooked up to different machines. Maya told me that Riley was falling asleep as she and Farkle left the room. So when I walked it, she was asleep.
I quietly took a seat next to the bed. Very carefully took her hand in mine.
Even though she was asleep, I needed to practice what I was going to say to her. So very quietly I started talking to her.

L: Riley I'm so sorry this happened. You kept on wanting to know what happened back in Texas. And I should have told you from the beginning. But like an idiot I kept it from you.

*tears start coming down*

L: What Derek said was true. I was in a gang. I was into drugs. I was into selling drugs. I was completely different before I came here. One of the reasons that I left Texas was so I could get away from that life. I wanted something better. & that's you Riley. You are my something better. From the moment you fell into my lap.

*more tears kept falling down my face*

L: I was going to tell you everything. I wanted to tell you everything. But I was so terrified that if I told you, then you wouldn't look at me the same. Your opinion of me would change. And I didn't want that. Though saying it out loud makes me sound kinda selfish. What ever questions you have Riley, I will answer them honestly. I don't want to hide anything from you.

Little did Lucas know that Riley wasn't actually asleep. That she heard everything he just said.
