Spider sits on his bed, sanitizing a large gash on his arm. Sir has been putting him through all sorts of training with no explanation. He takes a deep breath, about to bandage himself up when his phone goes off. Spider picks it up and looks at it, and to his surprise, it’s Luke.
    Spider immediately calls him.
“Hey-” Luke starts only to have Spider cut him off.
“Where the hell have you been?!! I was worried sick!” Spider angrily shouts.
“I deserve that, but I could contact you because my phone was run over. I was just able to get enough to get a new one,” Luke speaks softly.
“And you couldn’t come over? I doubt that. What the hell. First, you act as you wanna be around, and the next, you vanish for two months,” Spider’s anger is softening, but something feels off to him, “You want to give me an explanation? Bar. Ten minutes.”
Luke looks at his phone. Spider hung up.
Luke looks at the road and revs his motorcycle’s engine.
“Better get a move on then,” Luke picks up speed.
“Are you crazy!?! You just got free of a car accident injury. Do you want to get in another?”  The girl holds his torso tightly.
“I want to get my friend back!” He shouts over the increasing noise, “Whatever it takes.”
Spider begins heading to the bar, wracking his head around what could have actually happened when he lands on something. Angel has been out of operation for about the same time now.
“That would explain a lot, but if I’m wrong….” Spider mutters to himself, “Just let him explain himself.”
Luke parks the motorcycle on the outskirts of town, closest to the bar. He hops off and turns to offer her a hand. She grabs it, and they both begin running towards the bar.
“Are you sure we can trust him? What if he’s in on it?” The girl breathily speaks.
“How can I trust you? I don’t know your name still. I’ve had a bad feeling for a while, it’s why I started working with Sir. You’ve only confirmed my suspicions.” Luke responds.
“Yeah, but Spider could have been corrupted when he left!” The girl grabs Luke, making him stop in his tracks, “Think about it. Why else would he have contacted Sir?”
“He could have gotten caught up in crime, just as I did, doesn’t mean he wants to destroy the garden!” Luke rips his arm away from her, “We are almost out of time. We have to go.”
Spider sits at a table and checks the time. He lays his head down. Sir steps into the bar with a smirk. With Angel returning today, he must act quickly. He checks his tracker once more before beginning to search. Luke spots the bar in the distance and picks up speed, regretting leaving his motorcycle.
“Going for a drink, Spider?” Sir sits beside him, “It’s a bit early.”
“No, just waiting on a friend. I haven’t seen him for a while,” Spider sits up and looks at Sir, “How is Angel?”
“Do not ask. He will return to the field shortly.” Sir lays a hand on Spider’s should, using his other to grab his gun handle, “Who is the friend you intend to meet?”
“Luke, though I doubt he will show,” Spider lowers his head, “I don’t know if he actually wants to be my friend.”
“I’m sure he has his reasons. So come now, my boy. I’m sure he’s just outside those doors,” Sir plasters on a smile and guides him back to the entrance of the bar.
Luke sees Spider and Sir but is still too far.
“SPIDER!” He calls, to no avail, “ SPIDER GET AWAY FROM HIM PLEASE.”
Spider looks at Sir, disappointment in his eyes. Sir pats his back and puts the gun to his head.
“Shame it has to end like this. You would fit in with the new garden,” Sir grins, “If only mon Ange were here to see it.”
Luke’s eyes widen, and his heart pounds. Something sparks. Spider tenses, feeling the shock go through him. Sir presses the hammer back.
Luke’s eyes glow gold.
Not. Under. My. Watch.” Luke’s voice booms through the town.

The gun fires.
