Luke opens his eyes. He's in a hospital. His head is spinning, but he vaguely remembers the crash. Not his best move. At least he was found. He looks down at his body to find he's in light bandaging. Wait, how long has he been here? It seems long enough to heal substantially. That's not good.
Spider sits in the waiting room. Sir told him to stay out of Angel's room, so he did. He waiting in the lobby for months, only leaving when the nurses told him to. He wasn't allowed to even see if Angel was okay. He keeps dreaming about the night, the déjà-vu, and that look Angel gave him. Does Angel even remember it? Spider swears he's seen it before.
Luke sits up and calls in a nurse. Spider sees a nurse enter Angel's room, and he perks up. The rounds weren't supposed to happen for another hour.
Spider walks up to the door, waiting for the nurse. Luke requests his mask, not really caring about his clothes right now. The nurse walks out, bumping into Spider.
"Is he alright? What's going on?" Spider urges for answers.
"He'll be fine. He requested the mask he came in with," The nurse replies.
"He's awake? That's amazing! Where is the mask?"
"It's with the rest of his stuff. He said he wanted no visitors until he had it, so I'm afraid you'll have to wait in the lobby."
"That's alright, thank you so much," Spider lets out a breath. He didn't know he was holding one, "Can you let him know I'm here? My name is Spider."
"I will, sir," The nurse assures him. Spider sits down and waits. This was the first time he was able to relax. He came every day during visiting hours, just waiting for some good news.
Minutes pass by as the nurse is nowhere to be found. After half an hour, the nurse finally comes back and enters the room. Spider waits by the door, his heart pounding harder by the second. When the nurse steps out, Spider bursts in, unable to keep waiting.
"Angel! Thank goodness!" Spider hugs him, "I was worried about you, dork."
Angel's eyes widen briefly before he just bursts out laughing. Spider releases him, confused as hell. Spider's concern only worsens when he sees Angel is laughing in tears.
"What's wrong?" Spider sits by him in the bed.
"Sorry, I just," He sniffles, wiping tears, "Didn't expect you to actually be there. I thought Sir just asked them to say that."
"Of course. I wouldn't have made it out of the building without your distraction. What the hell even happened?"
"A lapse in judgment. I didn't expect to survive," Angel leans on him, weirdly exhausted, "I just wanted to take them out with me."
"Well, how about not doing that next time. You're supposed to be the professional," Spider wraps an arm around him, smiling, "Besides, you probably could have made it without the sudden turnaround."
"Aww, but I was having fun~" Angel chuckles.
"If that's your idea of fun, I don't want to know what you're scared of," Spider looks into Angel's eyes, getting that sense of déjà-vu once again, "You know, this isn't the first time I've done something like this...."
"Yeah... you stopped them from killing.... That boy," Angel looks back at him, "I know a lot more than you think, Hero Boy~."
Angel nuzzles into him, refusing to let him go. Spider goes a bit pink, feeling Angel's warm breath against his neck.
"Dork," Spider whispers, laying his back on the bed. Angel goes down with him, clinging to him.
"You're the one who burst into my room like a puppy~," Angel smiles, his heartbeat relaxing.
"I didn't burst in... there was a solid four seconds of the nurse being out," Spider lightly shoves him.
"Suuuure," Angel rolls his eyes and sits on his torso, "You must suck with time."
"From what the docs told me, I was just in time to save your fine butt," Spider grins.
"Well, this fine butt thanks you. That doesn't mean you get a break from sucking with time!" Angel steals the pillow and whacks him with it.
"Ack! Hey! No fair!" Spider laughs and grabs the pillow from Angel. Just as he was about to hit him back. Someone clears their throat.
Sir stands there with bodyguards beside him. Angel immediately scoots off of Spider. Spider sits up and stares.
"Mon ange, how are you feeling?" Sir speaks in his low tone. Spider watches Angel, who is shaking.
"D'accord, Sir," Angel says softly. Spider glares at Sir with a newfound hatred. Sir grins, grabbing Angel's hands gently.
"Excellent, that was quite the stunt, mon ange," Sir's grip tightens, making Angel wince.
"Je suis désolé," Angel attempts to return his hands to his sides, "It won't happen again, Sir."
"It better not. Tu comptes beaucoup pour moi," Sir speaks harshly but releases his grip, "You will be here for another week before they will release you. Spider. You will not be here wasting time. You are coming for medical training. If you are going to disobey my orders, you might as well be able to help your partner more."
"Yes, Sir," Spider gets off the bed. Holding back the urge to punch the man for ruining the moment. Sir's bodyguards escort him out.
"Sir, don't blame him. I started it," Angel sits on the bed.
"I blame no one, mon ange. I merely respond to the outcome," He grins as he removes his coat, "I think it's time you learn how I respond to annoyances."
"Sir, please, this isn't-" Angel grabs the sheets for comfort.
"Tais-toi!" Sir grabs Angel by the throat, "You belong to me, boy. Act like it."
Angel takes a shaky breath.
"Comme tu veux, Sir."
