Sorry if this chapters a bit annoying or crap... I'm also sorry for the late update because I haven't had time but I did start this chapter a while ago... AND, sorry for mistakes, I'm tired... XD
----"So er... Where are we going?" Kyle looked at me as we walked towards the path that leads up the cliff.
I didn't reply, just while he was looking at me, I nodded towards the cliff. I think he got the message.
"We're going up there?" He asked. I nodded in response. "It looks dangerous..."
Looking up at it, I suppose it does look kinda... Off-putting. From here, it looks like a thin ledge that could easily collapse but really, it's safe. Where I sit, on the other side, there's a tree with branches that hang off the cliff.
"Is it safe?" He stopped walking and so did I.
"Yeah...." I muttered. I really wish he'd stop talking to me, but then I do like the fact that someone actually doesn't mind talking to me... I don't know.
We walked into a small forest by the base of the hill. It took about 5 minutes before we reached the gate which lead upwards. Kyle was quiet but followed closely behind me. I've never taken anyone up here before.
"Are we nearly there?" He asked.
"You ask too many questions..." I muttered, trying to put on a fake laugh so I wouldn't sound mean but it didn't sound like a laugh, more of a cough. Kyle, however, probably took that the wrong way because he looked somewhat offended. "Sorry..." I apologized quietly but I think he heard me.
I lead us up a small path, until I saw the edge of the cliff.
"We're at the top." I pointed out.
"Woah..."
I walked forwards and Kyle followed closely behind. As I got closer to the edge that faces the town, opposite my tree, Kyle stopped.
"What?" I turned around.
"It's a really thin ledge..." He replied with a nervous tone.
I shrugged and carried on walking, hoping he'd get the idea it's safe and I come here often. He probably got the idea that it's 'safe' when he started following me again, well, maybe he's not so sure on the safe part but then again, neither am I. I mean, it is a really thin ledge but I've been here everyday and haven't died. Yet.
"Sit." I pointed to the ground by the ledge, then sat down myself, my feet dangling over. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not great at the whole 'talking to friends' thing, if we are actually friends. I was trying to avoid any type of friendship because I don't want to be selfish or feel guilty knowing I might hurt someone when I go. I don't want to leave anyone behind, so I avoid everyone.
Kyle sat by me, cross legged unlike me, but he seemed tense. Probably scared of the drop below us.
"Nice view..." He said. Looking up at him, I saw he was watching the sun rise since it's only early in the morning. I suppose it is a nice view, you can see the whole town and at this time, you see streetlights going off as house lights come on. It looks as if the town is flashing.
We sat for about 10 minutes, just admiring the view. Well, Kyle was. I can't exactly think happy in the place I plan to die. I suppose I could try but what do I have to be happy about? Friends? Not really. Family? No. The fact I'm alive? Nope. Life in general? I don't even know why I bother asking or even wanting to find out.
"We should be going..." Kyle pointed out. He was still sat cross-legged, facing the town. He relaxed a bit in the time we've been up here, he's probably figured out it's fairly safe.
