A Week Later...

The Next Morning, I Was Sitting At The Kitchen Table Eating Breakfast While My Dad Dealt With The Homicide Detectives.

"You Sure You Wanna Go To School? I Think You Should Wait." Jalen Said Sitting Next To Me. I Nodded As I Stared At Him. He Looked Damn Good With His Blue Jean Pants, Black Shirt, And Black Jordans. I Caught Myself Staring And Eating. Jalen Looked So Damn Sexy That I Was So Embarrassed To Even Be Seen With Him. I Had On Some Baggy Grey Sweatpants, A Black Tank Top, And Some Black Flip Flops. My Hair Was In A Messy Bun And I Wasn't Wearing Any Makeup. I Looked Exactly How I Felt....Like Shit.

"What's Wrong?" He Asked.

"Nothing." I Lied.

"Stop Lying Bae. What Is It?" He Asked.

"I'm Just Nervous. I Know Everybody Is Going To Be Staring At Me." I Said.

"Oh Well. Let Em Stare." He Said.

"I Prefer Them Not To Stare." I Said.,

He Was About To Say Something Until My Dad Started Snapping.

"WHAT THE FUCK YOU MEAN SHE'S A SUSPECT? SHE DIDN'T DO SHIT! Y'ALL NEED TO BE FINDING THAT BITCH ASS PIMP BEFORE I DO!" My Dad Yelled.

The Detectives Glanced At Me And Back At My Dad. They Started Whispering Amongst One Another And That Really Scared Me.

"Dad...What's Wrong?" I Asked.

"Miss Davis...We're Gonna Need You To Come In For Questioning." One Of The Detectives Said.

"For What? She Ain't Do Shit!" Jalen Snapped.

"We Just Wanna Ask A Few Questions." He Said.

"It's Fine. I'll Go." I Said.

"We'll Be Right Behind You Babygirl." My Dad Said. I Nodded As I Followed The Detectives Out To The Car. Great....Just Fucking Great.

The Interrogation Room Was All White And Cold As Hell. I Sat In My Chair Quietly As I Stared At The Detectives. I Had Just Told Them The Whole Story And Now They Were Sitting There Looking At Me Like I Had 2 Heads.

"Miss Davis...How Come Your Boyfriend Lied About Getting You Pregnant? Why Didn't You Just Come Clean Then?" Detective Jones Asked.

"I Don't Know...I Was Scared. I Really Didn't Know What He Was Capable Of Until I Found My Mom Dead." I Said.

"How Is It That You Said Carl Johnson Raped You Repeatedly, But You Willing Had Sex With Him After You Found Out She Slept With Your Boyfriend. Jalen Smith Right?" He Asked.

"I Mean...I Was Angry And Upset. Revenge Isn't Always So Sweet. I Know That, But I Was In The Heat Of The Moment...And It Just Happened." I Said.

"You Know What I Think? I Think That You Were So Mad At Your Mother For Messing With Your Boyfriend That You Told Carl To Do It So You Could Get Revenge!" Detective Garner Said. My Mouth Dropped Open. Did He Really Just Say That Shit To Me?

"How Could You Possibly Think That? I Loved My Mother More Than Anything In This World!" I Snapped. The Tears Started Falling As Detective Jones Handed Me Some Tissue.

"The Truth Will Come To The Surface Miss Davis." Garner Said.

"Am I Under Arrest?" I Asked.

"No You're Not." Jones Said.

"Then I Would Like To Leave." I Said As I Got Up.

"We're Not Done Here!" Garner Snapped.

"Well I'm Done And I'd Like To Leave! Let Me Out!" I Yelled. Jones Nodded And Opened The Door For Me.

"We'll Be In Touch." Garner Said.

"Fuck Off!" I Snapped. I Hurried Into The Lobby Where My Dad And Jalen Patiently Waited. I Ran Over To My Dad And Cried Into His Chest.

"What The Hell Happened?" He Asked.

"They Accused Me Of Mom's Murder! Saying I Was So Mad About Her And Jalen That I Hired Carl To Kill Her! I Would Never Ever Do That!" I Cried.

"These Muthafuckas Have No Sympathy Nor Respect!" My Dad Said. I Hugged Jalen While My Dad Approached The Detectives.

"Dad Stop!" I Said.

"You Two Must Be Crazy As Hell To Accuse My Daughter Of Murder! Instead Of Pointing The Finger At A 16 Year Old, Y'all Needa Be Looking For That Damn Pimp! Next Time You Wanna Talk To My Daughter You Call Our Lawyer!" He Snapped. He Turned And Headed Outside. Jalen And I Followed Him And We Hurried To The Car.

"The Police Don't Wanna Do Shit About This? Then I Will!" He Said.

"Dad No! I've Already Lost One Parent....I Don't Wanna Lose Both." I Said.

"And You Won't. I've Been In The Game A Long Time. That Nigga Ain't Ready For This!" He Said. I Rolled My Eyes And Laid Down In The Backseat. This Was Too Much Drama For Me.
