Chapter 3

(Alex's POV)

As I walked Jessica around the school, Showing her where the dorms are, Showing her where the nurse office and even the pool itself. But during Jessica and My little trip around the school, Jessica was staring at me for a long time... which made me wonder... Did she even listen to a word I said during this trip?

But I guess that would mean both of us weren't really interested in the tour around the school, While I tour Jessica around the school, All that I could think about in my head was Amber. Out of all the people, Jessica would ask to show her around the school... Why me? Out of all the students, she could have picked... Why me and why now? While these thoughts are being questioned in my head... What really is concerning me is how are Amber and Alexa holding up? Before Jessica pulled me away from them, I was gonna join Amber and Alexa for lunch and sit with them... Especially since most of those times, I sit next to Amber. Since I have been with Alexa and Amber most of the time ever since I took care of Amber, My confidence around Amber has matured a bit so I won't easily be embarrassed or stuttered like a goofball.

But I'm pretty sure those conference boasts won't help me much longer. 

Mostly because sometimes during those lunch periods, Amber would hug me in a friendly gentle hug. Which is fine, Even though I would blush every time she hugs me, But there would be some cases when she does these cute random things that I didn't think she would do. Like There was this one time during lunch, I was sitting in the same lunch table Alexa and Amber sit at, I finish my lunch and then Amber hugs me. I couldn't believe she was hugging me so many times and every time I blushed about it... So I decided to return the favor and hug her back. Amber lifts her face up to me and smiles at me and I couldn't resist smiling at her too. But then Amber did something that surprised me.

"Woof... I'm a penguin! 😁" Amber said with a smile.  Now, this I didn't expect... And I kinda wonder... Was she doing that as a joke or not? However, I had to admit she looks so cute doing this so I decided to play along. Amber has the sweetest laugh I have heard in my life. It was so cute that I thought I was about to faint...

It's a good thing I didn't... Just imagine if I faint in front of her... 

Anyway, My train of thought was to stop when Jessica tucked my arm and made me look at her. Jessica was blushing mildly and her eyes were locked to mine.

"Alex... (^////^)" Jessica said to get my attention. "Yea... What is it?" All that is in my head at this point was...

Please tell me, she isn't planning to...

"I know we met just today and we spent like maybe 25 or 30 minutes on this tour around the school"  Jessica said.  "Yeah?...", Jessica grabs both my hands together with hers and looks me in the eyes.

"Alex, I like you a lot and every cell in my body is calling for your name, and I think we should go out together." Jessica said to me. 

I didn't know how to approach this confession at all. How do I even approach this confession at all? Don't get me wrong, Jessica is the new girl and I guess... She's attractive based on all the guys saying about her, But I have feelings for Amber and Amber only. If I say no to her, She'll be crushed and I don't want to be the one to make her suffer, But if I say yes... Not only will I be going out with someone I don't even know of...but that means I won't be able to get with Amber. At this point, I'm lost... 

Just when I thought all hope of escaping this approach was gone... I saw something from the distance heading towards me and in smoke. "Smoke?!?" I said in my mind as It took a second to realize it was Amber coming towards me and running fast like a bull.

"I'm being saved!!!!!😀" Amber runs towards me and grabs my hand and I was a drag in the air. Guess Amber has a quite a grip.  I was in the air as Amber runs as all I can hear from Jessica was... "Get back here with my future mate!"

Amber drags me behind a building away from Jessica, A building that has nothing but an empty desk in there, cause the building is where the detention center is held.

"Thanks, Amber... It was getting weird... back there..." I said as I was catching my breath. 

"Yea..." Amber said back to me. Amber and I just stood in front of each other in silence and our eyes were deadlocked to each other. My heart pumps a bit louder than it should have.

"Amber..."

"Yes Alex?" Amber said to me as I look at her dead in the eye. "Thanks... for saving me..." I said to her. 

"O-Oh it's no problem really... I couldn't just let her make you uncomfortable c-can I?..." Amber said. Amber Seemed a bit blushing... She is so cute... I never got the chance to see her like this, So seeing this for the first time is new to me.

"W- Well If there's not anything else...I'll head back to my dor-" Amber was about to finish her sentence before  I stopped Amber from talking by holding her hand with mine and looked at her in her eyes. Amber was looking at me in the eyes as well. 

"Amber... There's... something I've been meaning to tell you for a while" I said to her blushing as Amber looks back at me the same. 

"Yes Alex?" 

I knew it had to come out sooner or later...I just hope I didn't freak her out. "Amber... Since the day I lay my eyes on you... Something spark in my heart... Every time I'm near you, My heart would pump more than it should have... And then, later on, I became your friend and I enjoy every moment I spend time with you and Alexa..."

Amber Blushes as I was about to finish my confession.

"W- What I'm trying to say Amber... that I Love you... very... very much..." My heart pumps a lot more after that and I feel myself about to faint after finally letting those words out my mouth for a while now. Amber said nothing to me... And I started to fear that my confession must have changed her thoughts about me... But then out of the blue, Amber hugs me and I place my right hand on her head and my left hand hugging her back.

"Alex... I feel the same! 🙂" Amber said with a smile.

"Glad to hear it". I said back with a smile as we hugged each other... We looked each other in the eyes. My heart was racing and I could tell that her heart was racing too... As I leaned closer to her face and Amber began to make her head towards mine.

"OMG... Are we actually gonna have our first kiss?!" I thought to myself, but as soon as Amber and I were about to lock lips and have our first kiss...

"Hey guys~ So what did I miss?" Alexa said as she comes out of nowhere. 

"N- Nothing!" I said as I throw my hands up in the air as Amber does the same.

"Y- Yea, Nothing Alexa." Amber said. 

"D- Did I interrupt something..." Alexa said with a sad dog like look on her face as Amber and I shake our heads no and comfort her. 

"C- Come on, let's head back to the dorm." Amber said as Alexa looks at her. 

"Ok." Alexa went up ahead while I was still kinda bugged at Alexa for stepping in and kinda ruining a time of first kissing. Amber held on to my hand and made me look at her.

"Come on Alex, let's watch a movie 😊" Amber said to me as Alexa smiles the same too.

"Hehe ok Amber''. As Amber and I  hold our hands together and walk ourselves to the dorm but little did we know.....

No one takes away my future mate and gets away with it, Amber you are going to pay."Jessica swore under her breath.
