Wade looked around. All he could see was fog around him. He couldn't even see his feet.
The Crystal. Give me the Crystal.
He recognised the voice before. There was a figuire at the end of the fog. How could he only see her and nothing else.
"Hello?" He shouted over to the unknown person. It looked like the figuire turned around, but he wasn't quite sure since he could barely breathe, let alone see.
Give me the crystal. I know you have it. You belong with the dark. You will help us. You can see.
He kept hearing voices from all around. It was scaring him, but he had to keep calm. It'll all be okay. Just keep calm, he kept telling himself that and for a while, it was actually working. He stood strong with his head up, waiting for the voices to speak once more.
You are cursed with the power to see us. To see our magic. Hand us over the crystal, or watch your world burn.
The figuire came closer, revealing striking brown hair. Eve. Something was different about her this time.
It was her eyes. They were no longer green. They were glowing. They were the colour of fire.
He woke up in his bed facing the cieling. His mom was waiting at the end of the bed, watching him sleep.
"Mom, what happened?" Wade asked, looking around. His room was tidy? This was new.
His mom came over and placed her palm on his foreheard caringly. "You fainted in school honey. You've been in bed since yesterday"
Wade sat up. "What about work mom?" He said, feeling slightly guilty that she had to take care of him.
"Don't worry about that son. You're more important then some job" His mom said, getting up off the bed. No put keeping me in the school was more important then him. She was paying for his school fee just in case she forgot.
She stepped over to the door and gave him one last glance. "Call me if you need anything" His mom said before leaving the room.
Wade got up out of his bed covers and walked over to the window. There was a small middle aged women wearing an apron and a girl, about his age. From what he could see she was average hight and had wavy dark her falling down her back.
His mom told him about the new neighbours at number 13 at the end of the street. Lillian Poole, the crazy lady who died years and years ago used to live there. How creepy was it living in a dead womens house.
After a meal of hot chicken soup, a gift from the new neighbours as a thankyou present for the muffins his mom baked, he suddenly felt a lot better and back to himself.
"You okay honey?" His mom called from the kitchen.
Wade flicked through the channels. Nothing good except boring old daytime TV. "Yeah mom"
He saw the postman comin up from the drive. His mom attended the door while he went to see what his mother was making. Hopefully more muffins.
Wade secretly stole one of the muffins from the basket to the new people. They wouldn't be upset over one missing he thought.
His mom was an excellent chef and Wade had learnt a lot of tips from just watching her. He loved cooking almost as much as he loved fishing.
Jim would have been waiting for him to arrive to lend him his boat before school. Shame he was asleep for 24 hours.
His mom walked into the living room and handed Wade an envelope, "Look what we got?"
Wade ripped open the envelope revealing a card from someone. The card read,
