We approached the school, and instead of feeling nervous. I was actually calm. Cody held the door open for me, I couldn't help not blushing. I walked in and immediately I was ridiculed. "Look at the loser, alone again?" Lori laughed. I felt a push. I see Cody come up next to me. "She isn't alone, she has me." He said this in such an angry tone. I was stunned, no one has ever stood up for me. Lori looked surprised. "So who are you?" She said this in a flirty type of voice. All I thought was back the fuck off. In a way, a guess I got jealous.Cody ignored her and grabbed my hand. "Lets go, ok?" He smiled. I started to grin, "Yeah, let's go." As I walked past Lori, she gave me a look. A look I had never seen before, see looked at me in jealousy. I have to admit it felt good to have someone be jealous of me. Cody walked into the empty class with me. The period hadn't started yet, so no one was there. "You didn't have to do that"I looked at him, still in disbelief. He cocked his head and smiled, "I'm always happy to help my friends!". I stuttered ".....Friends?" I was so happy I lounged at him and rapped my arms around him. He was surprised at first, but then he rapped his arms around me. I felt a tear run down my face,... but this time, it wasn't a tear of pain. This was my first tear of happiness.
