I decided I should have Cody here with me. I feel like he's the only one I can talk to now. I text Cody about what happened and he was PISSED. He said he'd be at the playground in a few. Ten minutes later, still no Cody..... 25minutes..... 1 hour... I couldn't believe Cody ditched me. It was about 7 and from where the weather was rainy, it was really dark. I decided to stumble home, but I lived a mile away. At least I have time to think. My luck... it started to pour the rain. As I'm walking I see an outline of a person leaning on a lamp post. "H-hello?" I was afraid that it might not be Cody or Michael. "A boy with flattened wet hair looked up at me, he glimpsed and looked back down. "H-..." "What?" He cut me off. I came closer as he stood up. "Can I help you or what?" He pulled out his headphones. "I was just seeing if you were my friend, that's all.." My voice faded out. "Hmf, do I look like I'm your? Do I even know you?" I sighed and started to walk away. "Hey, by the way, it's not good for a pretty girl to walk in the dark alone!" He was yelling to me. I stopped and turned. "So, are YOU gonna walk me home?" I smirked. He side smiled, " Sure, just because I don't want to be the reason for anyone to get hurt." He walked slowly but straightly up to me. Surprisingly, he was a lot taller than he appeared. "So what's your name?" He was looking down at me. "Lily, and you are?" I looked up, this guy was like a giraffe up against me. He zipped up his coat, " I'm Shane." That's a nice name. I didn't say this to him though. He leaned down and put a headphone in my ear and then in his. "What's this for?" He was nodding his head to the music. "Oh, just to have has we walk." He was changing the song. "You should hang with me and my friends, you seem really cool." He smiled a little, and when he looked down.... I had a huge smile on my face. "Sure, I'd like to meet more friends!" He started to laugh.
