HoSeok

I looked at Kim Taehyung taking in spoonful after spoonful and I desperately signalled to Jungwoo who is still going to cook for him. "Jungwoo... Go Jungwoo..."

She turned to look at me. "Stop cooking, I don't think that I would have enough food left in the fridge if you continue to cook him and my father is not going to be very happy that my guest emptied his entire fridge."

"That is okay, I can buy everything back to stock up the fridge and I will do that by the end of the day before your father ends work and he wouldn't be able to notice that his food looked a little different." She coolly said. "You have to make sure that your guest gets all the food rust he needs and you are the one who brought him here in the first place, you are responsible for his well-being and his parents would be happy that you took such good care of him."

"I wouldn't have said that if I had known that he can eat that much, he didn't eat as much when he eats food from the cafeteria and he doesn't order 2 portions of food when we dine out," I told her.

"Maybe he didn't get much to eat before he started drinking, so just keep quiet and I will handle everything. He will be happy as long he is fed well and he will go home after this, you are sending him home right?" She asked me and I nodded my head.

I looked at him and he is eating as if he hasn't eaten in ages, he might have not eaten anything ever since we parted ways yesterday and his last meal was in school. Did his house not have any food at all?

But he must have felt so relieved after knowing that I and Jungwoo will keep his secret for him and we will not tell anyone about it, it is not a huge ugly secret but since he wanted to hide it, we would have to do a better job of hiding it and we will make sure that we will never talk about it to the others.

On the other hand, Jungwoo asked me if I had told him about Jimin's past and I shook my head, it is something that I don't want to talk about it and I am sure that she doesn't want anyone else to know about it.

She must have felt comfortable with Kim Taehyung and she feels telling Taehyung about her past and how it is linked to Park Jimin would mean that their secrets are considered equals and she would feel better if she were to tell him about it, it is like she is exchanging her secret for keeping his secret.

I told her to keep it to herself and I am doing the right thing as well, I knew of this huge secret ever since I met Park Jimin and I have never told anyone about it except to Jungwoo since it involved her and she was deeply traumatized by it that it affected so much of her life, she even had to live with an almost permanent speech impediment for a decade and she became an outcast because of it.

It took her a decade and a group of friends for her to get rid of the speech impediment but it doesn't mean that it would be gone forever, it will only take a simple incident to attack her again and she might end up not being able to speak her mind as easily for the rest of her life. So she must never let her secret get exposed to the world and I am here to make sure that she is fine and I will blame myself for everything if something similar happens to her again.

Jungwoo cooked the last bit of the food and she placed it in front of Taehyung who happily took it, scarfing it down I wonder if he is being starved at home or his fridge has been robbed by someone and his chef is not there to cook him any food.

"Did your in-house chef not cook you anything before you left the house last night?" I asked him and he shook his head.

I let out a sigh and he looked up at me, finally putting down his cutlery for the first time. "The in-house chef doesn't come by every single day because my father doesn't come home for dinner that often and the chef only comes on the days where my father would be available."

"And that would be when?" Jungwoo asked him and he replied once a week. "Then how did you usually settle your meals if your father isn't home?"

"I order takeout at times or I will usually have dinner with the others," He said to me. "Why are you looking at me like that, hyung?"

I let out a sigh. "You would have to demand the in-house chef to come in every single day so that you wouldn't have to starve and you will not have to spend so much money outside and on takeout food if you will have the in-house chef to cook for you every night."

He shook his head. "That wouldn't be possible, my father wouldn't want to do that. Everything in the household evolves around him and we have no right to say anything, I will be grateful enough if he would ask me if I had eaten but he will be in his study half the time and I barely get to see him."

I thought that all rich people would have that kind of freedom to do whatever they want to do and their parents can hardly scold them, their parents will just drop the bomb that they will be engaged to some heir from some huge corporation. And Kim Taehyung doesn't lead that kind of a lifestyle, he doesn't have much say in the family despite him being the sole heir to his father's assets but he is also the youngest Kim cousin.

"Don't worry Taehyung, you can come over whenever you want and he will not let you starve." Jungwoo places a hand on my shoulder. "HoSeok is a good friend and he will make sure that you will not go hungry, just make this place your second home."

"Just make sure that your father doesn't fire my father for taking in someone that is not part of our family." Taehyung gasps all of a sudden and I looked at him wondering why he is so shocked, did he not know that my father works for her family?
