Jungwoo

6 months later...

I looked into the mirror, looking at myself and I applied the blush like how I was taught and I put it in the places that it would make my face glow today is a very important day to put makeup on my face which I usually don't.

I am going to attend my birthday party and it is a very important occasion because I have never had a birthday party, I had small birthday celebrations but mostly only with my father because he is the only one who cares about me and my stepmother wouldn't even be able to remember my birthday and Go Jiwoo is no exception as well.

But this year is different because my father has finally decided to show me off to the public and allow me to be on the same level as Go Jiwoo and be recognized as one of the heiresses to my father's corporation, my stepmother opposed to this so much but she can't admit that I am the only one who can help my father with his business than her daughter who is still obsessed with making herself pretty but she has toned down a little ever since.

Go Jiwoo has finally decided to ditch her friends who only hung out around her and she told me that she was an idiot for trusting them and she was done with being friends with them, it is a wise decision and I wished that she had thought of that earlier. It is not like they are even beneficial to her in the first place, they only hang out with her because they thought that people would notice them if they hang out with her.

She even told me that she is done with looking pretty and she said that she is going to study, it rained so heavily the night she told me and I thought that it was a miracle. Things between us just became a lot better and we are finally getting along for the first time but I know that I can never really trust her knowing very well what she did to me before.

So I am just keeping her close to me but at the same time, I am keeping a distance from her just in case she might have any evil intentions but knowing her, she is not going to outsmart me at all. I am still close to the others especially Jisoo because she is the one who I see almost every single day and she is the one who gave me a place to stay when I am still recovering from the incident and I only left her place a month ago and went back to my house, I wouldn't know what to do without her.

My father found out about the incident a little too late but he was glad that Jung HoSeok was there and he didn't try to kill Jung HoSeok in fact, he also promised to give him a very high position in his company if the business doesn't go well and that only gave him the motivation to do well in his startup and he is going to announce it at the birthday party later, and he just needed to get my father's approval and he is going to do well on his own.

"I told you not to overdo the blush or you are going to look very drunk, it is not good to look drunk at any party and it is not going to look good in photos." Jisoo pointed to the brush. "Put that brush down right now."

"Alright." I placed it back to where all the other brushes are and I turned to look at her. "Do I look drunk to you?"

She shook her head. "Nope, you look fine." She turned towards the other girl who is busy putting outfits together for my look. "She is just attending her birthday party, and there are not going to be any sparkles at all." She picked up a sleek backless dress. "This is then the better choice, a mini black dress will always be better than sparkles."

"But the sparkles just bring out the best in her, don't you think so?" Jiwoo holds the dress in her hand. "It has been in her closet for so long and it deserves to be worn out for a birthday party at least."

"It is just a birthday party and she has other outfits that will make her look good, don't make her look like you." I let out a sigh as they are going to get into their usual bickering once again.

Go Jiwoo and Kim Jisoo are the two people who will get along with each other because they are the same type of person but everyone knows that Jisoo is the nicer one and the less evil one and they sometimes can get along well as long as it doesn't clash with their fashion tastes or their food preferences, these two people can be the closest besties and I will be the one who is left out.

"Jungwoo, choose one!" The two of them said in unison and I let out another sigh as I walked up to the two of them and I closed my eyes. "Do the magic."

They proceed to swap the dresses and I reached out for the dress on the right it is the backless dress, it is a fair choice and no one can argue about it. I got changed into the dress and the three of us got out of the house, making our way to the car that would bring us to the party.

It is a huge event that my father had planned for me and the media called it a 'fake celebrity birthday event' because I am not a celebrity Jiwoo is the one who made it so huge, she promoted it all over her social media and now everyone knows that I am her younger sister and they are all coming to my party because of the publicity but I could care less.

I am going to turn a year older and that is the main point of birthday parties, you blow out the candles on the cake and you are telling everyone that you are a year older and expecting everyone to care about that but it is nothing special, the only special thing is that I am going to see everyone that I have missed for so long and I am going to appear to them as a newly upgraded version of Go Jungwoo.
